EverybodyDannsNow Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 If we turn up and play the way we have been doing we win. Benitez is a good football manager, not a miracle worker.
Fox Ulike Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 If they’d have sacked him last Monday it would have been bad timing for us. Actually good for us since they’ve just spaffed all this week away.
AKCJ Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 If they’d have sacked him last Monday it would have been bad timing for us. Actually good for us since they’ve just spaffed all this week away. This. Why did they not just do this at Monday?
Captain... Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Everyone is going on about the bounce factor, but shit doesn't bounce no matter how hard you throw it.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Usually I'd be worried that a decent manager would come along and get a Honeymoon win on their debut, but their squad is such a wreck. We need to turn up, be professional and see out a 2-0 (or better)
LCFC1996 Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Doesn't change anything, its Rafa Benitez not the second coming of Jesus Christ, there's a reason they are where they are and it won't be solved in 3 days
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 He won't be in charge for Monday. They won't have spent the week preparing for it all to change with 2 full days to start again. The players however will need to try to impress. Either way, still confident that if we turn up and play we'll have too much for them.
ARM1968 Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Yeah a whole week preparing in the meticulous McClaren way to face us, only for Rafa to come in and change it. Can't see it. Nothing much he can do in two days. We turn up and play our usual game it should be a win.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 It could work in our favour. If they try and take us on we'll rip 'em to pieces...
Sammy Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Benitez won't have been sat without a job plotting how to beat Leicester. Still back us to have enough to get past these
MANFACE Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Eh? so what if they sacked him. We'll still beat them.
SMX11 Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Not sure it will matter if we play well. Please remember that they are down there for a reason.
Lestoh Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 We've beaten Spurs with Poch in charge, Chelsea with Mourinho, City with Pelegrini.. You won't see me worried unless Wegner has made a last minute decision to dress Arsenal up in black and white.
lifted*fox Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Villa are down there for a reason and we still couldn't get 3 points at their place. We have to turn up and absolutely go for the kill from the off. Get a goal quickly and they will fall apart. Another one of those where the longer the game goes on, the harder it will get.
Captain... Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 I think they are writing off this game and looking to get someone in (Rafa though, really?) to prepare for Sunderland.
goose2010 Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Perfect timing as there is no way anyone can walk into a club that is in that much of a mess and sort it in 3 days, Rafa's not even been approached according to Sky Sports so if this is true (which I doubt) the team they put out no matter what wont be as strong as ours, like I have said all season we play at our best we win. No team in the league is better than us when we play at our best that is why we are top of the league!
thybluefox Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Benitez won't have time to organise them or change the system they play. The only thing that'll work in their favour is they'll be out to impress him - or at least the should be. But I've no doubt that if we approach the game properly, we'll come out with the 3 points.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Don't like Rafa be even better now when we beat them, I'm in Germany Monday hope I can find a bar with the game on
Vicki Vixen Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 This. Why did they not just do this at Monday? Maybe they wanted to sound Rafa out before making a decision on McLaren, to avoid a repeat of the John Carver situation.
what? Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 Christ, imagine going from Real Madrid to Newcastle. Poor bloke. At least he'll only be there a few months!
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2016 Posted 11 March 2016 They are still shite and their players don't look bothered at all. It was the same when they last got relegated. Shearer came in "oh he'll get the players playing"... they still went down.
