But, don't you just think, being us, it would be typical to go to Munich, Madrid or wherever...get absolutely mullered for an hour and a half, and end up winning 2-0 ! 1 hour ago, Koke said: Oh absolutely. I can see us having 23% possesion away at Bayern but winning 1-0 with a 91st minute Huth header. That'd be typical us - and I'd love it. Typical of last season, yes. Typical of this season would see us go to one of them, concede inside the first 15 or so minutes and get tanked.
bovril Posted 19 October 2016 Posted 19 October 2016 Poor Ludogorets. They play pretty football but played a suicidally high line and the keeper just seemed to give up.

So as it stands we could play real, Bayern, besiktas, psg or Sevilla. Surely Bayern would be seeded?

If we finish top, we will draw with a non-English team that finished 2nd (and excluding the team that finished 2nd in our group). So as it stands, Bayern is possibly. Also means Bayern could end up drawing Barca, Real, or PSG though.

I think the confusion is because Yorkie 1999 said cant play a seeded team which would suggest you cant play a team who was originally in Pot 1. Which isnt the case. I was also confused. Round of 16 The round of 16 pairings are determined by means of a draw. The round of 16 is played under the knockout system, on a home-and-away basis (two legs). The UEFA administration ensures that the following principles are respected. a) Clubs from the same association cannot be drawn against each other. b) The winners and runners-up of the same group cannot be drawn against each other. c) The group-winners cannot be drawn against each other. d) The runners-up cannot be drawn against each other. e) The runners-up must play the first leg at home. The team which scores the greater aggregate of goals in the two matches qualifies for the quarter-finals. Read more: http://www.footballseeding.com/details/champions-league-format/ If we are lucky then Bayern and Barca playing each other would be nice and we get someone like Monaco. Still tough but not impossible to beat over 2 legs

He thought he was the dogs bollocks for doing that in the Camp Nou.

foxfanazer Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Devastating Barca counter attack! So many of Man City's attacks break down with Sterling. Arsenal

Just means if you've got a game in hand and you're not due to play in the CL, you can play it on the same night as a CL game. Previously it wasn't allowed. Last season there was a ridiculous situation where Liverpool had a game to play against someone like Stoke or WBA I can't remember who, but couldn't find a space for it due to still being in the League cup and not being able to play on the same night as a competition neither team was in.
AKCJ Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Atletico 1-1 Rostov Means only us and Juve are yet to concede.
foxfanazer Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 overplayed it. Game on! fair play to Sterling there
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Almost 2-1 man city... starting to get into this

Strokes Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Atletico have conceded, meaning we are the last team standing on zero goals conceded
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 I never thought I'd see a better player in my lifetime than Maradona Messi surely surpasses even him now I suspect. His goal scoring record is just barmy!
