Benguin Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 He's very talented but he's a little thug and should get banned for a couple.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 He needs to grow up. Be interesting to see IF the FA take any action, him being wunderkid young player of the year and all, lacks discipline.
eye666 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Surely a 3 match ban for violent conduct which would put him out for the season?
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Haha dirty cvnt Spurs fans have been going on at Vardy all week and their golden boy tries to get in a sly one in the gut like a coward. Fvck right off.
masterg59 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Shame he needs to take this out of his game and maybe a ban would be the answer, although Who cares
CollinsLCFC Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Anybody got a link to a video of what happened?
filbertstreet Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Anybody got a link to a video of what happened?
Saxondale Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 So if Vardy gets an extra one game for basically just saying some angry words, surely a punch in the stomach should be...I dunno.. about a 15 game ban? Actually, it's assault, whether it's on the pitch or not. Get him down the magistrates.
Crinklyfox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I suspect that he'll get away with it unless it's in the referees report, which I doubt otherwise he should have been sent off at the time.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I suspect that he'll get away with it unless it's in the referees report, which I doubt otherwise he should have been sent off at the time. Incidents like this don't need to be in the report but yes it makes it less likely if not, but it is up to the FA if they choose the review it. They would be mugs if they didn't giving it is a clear punch, and would send out the wrong signal
MC Prussian Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Well, in light of the Vardy incident, it's not a matter of "could they ban him", they should just do it. With all due respect to fairness and fairplay. Swearing at a referee is one thing, gross misconduct coupled with bodily harm another. If he won't get banned for it, how about we apply the "lucky" tag to Tottenham instead?
Jimothy Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I suspect that he'll get away with it unless it's in the referees report, which I doubt otherwise he should have been sent off at the time. The Premier League have a displinary panel for just such occasions, where a player does something wrong, such as violent conduct, but doesn't get punished because the referee misses it. They'll review the incident and deal with. In fact it's the opposite of what you say, or at least used to be. If an incident like this is included in the referees report but the players not punished, the panel can't act on it. For example a few years ago Rooney ran about 10 yards and smashed a Wigan player in the side of the head with his elbow. He wasn't booked or sent off, and because the referee Inexplicably included it in his report but hadn't acted on it, nothing could be done.
The Guvnor Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Fair play to Yacob he could easily have dropped to the ground holding his gut, however that should not deflect from the action and intent.
weller54 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I wonder? Vardy got slaughtered for his misdemeanour!
The Railway Man Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 It simply has to be a three game ban, it cannot be anythuing else. If precedent was set on Vardy then precedent is also here.
Captain... Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 If the ref had seen it it would have been a straight red 3 match ban. He has always had a bit of devil in him, like Vardy, hopefully he will be punished and learn from it. I like Alli I think he is a good player and there is nothing wrong with being aggressive, but you need to control it and out right punching someone, like calling the ref a cvnt, should not be tolerated.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 So if Vardy gets an extra one game for basically just saying some angry words, surely a punch in the stomach should be...I dunno.. about a 15 game ban? Actually, it's assault, whether it's on the pitch or not. Get him down the magistrates. It's three. violent conduct, worst punch ever but I guess a punch is a punch. Although surely then Walker needs retrospectively banning as well. Edit: No sorry forgot he can't be if booked. Edit Edit: Wasn't booked get him banned as well!
lifted*fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Apparently Yacob said he didn't remember the incident after the game and Pulis said he didn't see it either.
RowlattsFox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Can't see him getting banned, if they do it will have to be a 3-game ban and if we're being honest thats quite excessive. When you see Alli off the pitch he seems like a decent lad but on the pitch he has a petulant and dirty side.
