Fox 4 Life Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Classic foxestalk scouting going on. He's shit, must be all the French football you watch. People were saying similar about Kante when he didn't want to come here originally.
Buzzell Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 We were linked with him last year too I think We were after in last year weren't we? Or at least linked. Yeah he reminds me of somebody called Nampalys Mendy who we tried to sign last year Did we try and sign him last year yeah?
los dedos Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Were we linked with him after Claudio arrived? Remember that Claudio didn't fancy n'golo. Was he Claudio's man or walshy's second choice behind NG?Claudio said when he first got here that the scouts give him a list of players. Then they all get together and decide who fits best.So the whole Claudio/Walshy bollix should be put to bed.Yes Claudio has the final say but that just proves that he was willing to listen to Walsh and IF he did doubts he was the one that had the final say on signing Kante.
Babylon Posted 2 June 2016 Posted 2 June 2016 Leicester City have made an offer for Nampalys Mendy; PSG & Sunderland interested, according to Le 10 Sport bit.ly/1VzTNJb
lcfcnsk Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Leicester and Nice are in discussions about Nampalys Mendy. The English champions extended an offer of around 10 million euros in the fourth in Ligue 1.Leicester conveyed these last hours to OGC Nice an offer of around 10 million euros for Nampalys Mendy. Both clubs have entered into discussions for the 23-year-old, who made a full season on the Cote d'Azur (38 tenure in L1). Claudio Ranieri was the midfielder his priority. Mendy agree with LeicesterAccording to our information, the player has already agreed with the English champions, who courted him for several months. The Riviera club will not sell off its player and intends to take advantage of new TV rights for at least 16 million.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Bargain get him in. Terms agreed with player apparently
foxes21 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 What position do we see Amartey as? he's deffo been signed as a CM/CDM. I can see him being a good partner for King when we need to rotate. A defensive midfielder next to King in a midfield 2 has worked well for us in the past (hammond). Amartey is going to be a great asset aint he, as he can cover RB/RM & also CB although he's untried there with us.
Ric Flair Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Replacement for Kante? Wise to get him in first and worry about the rest afterwards. He seems to have similar attributes.
bald reynard Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Replacement for Kante? Yep. N'Golo is defo on his way now !
tsintskaro Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Yep.This means Kante is gone No need for third defencive midfielder when you already have Kante and Amartey
EarlBeaumont Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Brilliant player ! Ranieri loved him when he was training Monaco a few years back (he was a youngster there then). He as been absolutly brilliant with Nice this season. In France, he is widely considéred as an equivalent to Kanté, even if, of course, it is impossible to say if he will adapt to PL as fast as the formor Caen player. Really, if Kanté is bound to leave (I don't want it though), this is the man to get to replace him.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 It was him or Kante last season, we got Kante... now we have signed Mendy it would seem that means Kante is unlikely to be here next season
st albans fox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 We can have both. NG can stay the extra year and move next summer if he really wants to, once mendy is settled. I really really want to see the team that won the league playing in the CL!
kingfox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Totally different to Kante and plays in a midfield three rather than a two. God knows if he'll adapt to being in a two, Ranieri obviously a big fan though.
foxes21 Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 dont forget its likely we will be playing 4-3-3 alot next season, with a holding midfielder. Out of our current players, only Amartey can do that CDM role & perhaps Claudio wants more options for that position. Inler can too, but it has to be presumed he is leaving. This doesn't mean Kante is leaving. For one, this guy doesn't even play like Kante. He doesn't have the dribbling/box to box/play making attributes of Don N'golo!
RowlattsFox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 I'm going to hold onto the hope that this will be inler's replacement. Drinky, Kante, King, Amartey and Mendy.
EarlBeaumont Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 imagine if they both start. we'd never lose a game They would step on each other toes. They are way to similar to play together. It is either Mendy or Kanté.
Happy Fox Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 He is 23 and helped Nice to a 4th place finish. Has been likened to a Claude Makele. Hard to say if he will have the same impact as Kante but certainly has the potential
