Unproven in the Premier League doesn't need to be a hindrance - it's more often than not just a shallow phrase. And why does a potential replacement for Vardy need to be Player of the Season next May? Ridiculous.

He is proven and the odds are that his replacement won't be as good. Just like the odds are that Kante or Mahrez's replacement won't do as good as them either.

That with a relatively unknown squad. But of course, it's easier to paint a gloomy picture than to wait, relax and see what happens next.

But he boarded the flight with the rest of the England squad without informing Arsenal what he intended to do, as requested by the London club.
