pazzerfox Posted 21 August 2016 Share Posted 21 August 2016 Bournemouth looked shocking. If we can't beat them this season i will be annoyed! I'm sure there main threat towards the back end of last season was Afobe, and now he can't seem to get a game.
Col city fan Posted 21 August 2016 Share Posted 21 August 2016 Never liked the stadia where the seats are long way from the pitch. The atmos always feels very different. One of he best bits about Upton Park was that it was such a tight ground. You were almost on top of the play! Bournemouth are now looking every bit a side who are going to struggle. I'm sure the stats before the game were they hadn't had a win in about 6/7 previous Premiership games (made me wonder why anyone thought they'd win today to be honest?) West Ham were all over them really.

Spurs overachieved too, but not on the same scale we did. Falling short of what we did last season shouldnt be seen as failure. We could have a very good season this season and not emulate last season because thats once in a lifetime stuff. But we should both EXPECT not to be in a relegation battle. Because we are a lot stronger than those teams. Hulls perspective is probably that this season is going to be tough. Put everything into trying to stay up, which will be a great accomplishment if they do. Theres not much point in saying that Arsenal for example should be happy to bob along going absolutely nowhere because at least they arent in a relegation battle, because they have huge resources and a huge history of winning things that says they are justified in expecting more. But 1st and foremost, you pay your money In the entertainment business to be entertained, If your 1st priority, is to look at ones perspective, and if you fail to realise that perspective potential, many miss then the seasons journey and entertaiment, because they are too stressed, waiting for their perspective and potential to be held together.. Isnt it sport itself that contradicts the levels of the perspective.

Not a football stadium i'm afraid dispite how nice it is. Shit holes > New shiny stadiums. That said I would like to visit there in March. Man city ground the same for me

The views must be absolutely terrible from the lower seats where you are so far from the pitch. And its good to see Harry Arter sent off too, one of the most unlikeable footballers in the game. Were we looking at the same stadium? Bare concrete and scaffolding everywhere, just looks messy and unfinished if you're not looking straight ahead from the lower tiers
promised land Posted 21 August 2016 Share Posted 21 August 2016 Is that what they've done then, stuck a temporary stand infront of the stand for athletics? You can't see it on tv but that does look cheap. Youre still a long way back on the second tier though.

SystonFox Posted 21 August 2016 Share Posted 21 August 2016 That ground will be shoddy in the championship when they're back in the next 5 years. It's inevitable,p. Feel for the fans tbh.

Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 August 2016 Share Posted 21 August 2016 Jesus Christ if you've got a season ticket behind the goal you'd be fuming. I thought it would be alright with the redevelopment but they've made a right hash of it.

If they're going all-out for novelty then they ought to set up those inverted bungee jumps you get at fairgrounds and put a cameraman in one, would certainly have livened up today's game

Tuna Posted 25 August 2016 Share Posted 25 August 2016 West Ham linked with Bony, Zaza and Remy at the moment. Their transfer strategy seems to be remarkably scattergun. It makes you grateful for our scouting system that scouts players over a length of time and getting players in who fit the playing style. West Ham just seem to be wandering around with no real idea. Weren't they not in for Callum Wilson earlier in the summer?
