Devonfox1884 Posted 9 September 2016 Posted 9 September 2016 Yeah this isn't a good game. Can't help but think Reading could end up a good side in that division if they continue to evolve their style of play.
Wymsey Posted 9 September 2016 Posted 9 September 2016 Liam Moore booked. He doesn't seem like a defender that can improve both himself and other defenders.
NewEnglandFox Posted 9 September 2016 Posted 9 September 2016 Do people actually rate Tyler Blackett? Every time I've seen him play he's done something dumb.
Donut Posted 9 September 2016 Posted 9 September 2016 If i was Ipswich manager, whoever it was that comitted that foul for the penalty would be getting one heck of a fine after being so stupid. I dont think ive ever seen such a ridiculous way to give away a penalty. And lose the game.

And lose the game. he definitely wouldn't be in my next matchday squad after that, what would infuriate me more is that he looked genuinely surprised as to why the ref had given the penalty especially considering he must have seen the very soft penalty his team had won at the start of the 2nd half
Tuna Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Derby booed off at half time - 0-1 V Newcastle. Can see Pearson being sacked fairly soon.
purpleronnie Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Last season they were top 4 in goals scored (I think) they've only scored once this season. Not sure what Pearson's done but it clearly isn't working.

When you were a very good team at that level, change things around and take 5 points from 18, you deserve to be booed, because it is YOU that is making the negative effect and this is clear.

A very good team? They are serial bottlers who have spent a ridiculous amount of money over the last 2/3 years and still haven't got anywhere. It is stupid to boo them after 6 games into the season, especially when fans should know what he did the last time he was given time in that league.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Derby are poor but NP always needs time to sort it out. He'll assess then get rid. Can't believe likes of Darren Bent will be there much longer. Not a Pearson player at all

Theyve been almost pathetic in every single game, they cant score a goal, literally, and theyve sold one of their main goal scoring threats. They were a very good team at that level. They needed an extra push to take the next step to promotion, not the whole thing being ****ed with. Hes probably lost the fans and players already.
Mark Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Pretty sure they'd be booing down the KP after 1 goal in 6 games.
Donut Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 I honestly think hes totally lost everyone already. He was a brilliant Leicester manager but i think hes had a total mare and wishes he could rewind.

A Derby fan on the previous page said Chris Martin is a trouble maker. Now I don't know if that's true or not but I'd imagine if he was Pearson wouldn't want him around the team whether he was their main scorer or not. I agree he hasn't had the best of starts and yes I probably do make excuses because it is Pearson. But that is only because I know how good of a manager he is at that level given time. Something isn't right at Derby they have been so close for the past 3 seasons that maybe it does need a shake up of some kind. I can see similarities from this Derby team & what Pearson inherited on his second stint with. On paper it looks like a very good squad and should be doing a lot better, but results are inconsistent.

He was then basically pushed out of the club and replaced by someone who was undoing all the good work the previous manager had done.

Id have just thought he would have been more astute and gradual in the changes he wanted to make. They already had a formula that was pretty good. No doubt there is a questionnable mentality there and that when it really matters, they have been found wanting. Whether thats because they freeze, or whether the professionalism could be better, im not sure. Im just surprised he hasnt tried to get everyone on side and then bit by bit, change things. Its one thing revelling in having a no bullshit manager in charge and sorting out the bad apples etc, but producing bullshit football in the process will ruin the mood around the whole club.

Those circumstances are almost the same Derby, free scoring and good to watch, agonisingly missing out on a playoff final a season after a bad blowup under McLaren. the feeling was that they could make a real push, but for varying circumstances, lost 2 good managers in Clement and the caretaker Wassall. And now someone has come in to change everything.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Nice to see Aaron Mooy scoring and playing well for Huddersfield. Gonna miss watching him for Melbourne City though, when the A league restarts.
Corky Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Watching the Channel 5 show illustrated how brainless players can be. You've seen a team-mate grapple an opponent, get booked, warned 30 seconds before so what do you do? Exactly the same thing. And then to look bemused when the referee gives a penalty. The manager has every right to publicly lambast him for that, awful work.
Wymsey Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 A potential promotion 6-pointer today - Villa v Forest. Was quite amused/annoyed earlier when searching through my TV BT channel listings - there's a channel called 'Notts TV', and it's programmes included discussions about Forest's European past success, some documentary about Brian Clough and why they're excited about Nicklaus Bendtner and an interview with him about his reasons in joining them.
SystonFox Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 And people are pissed we are still singing CHAMPIONEES four games into the season? Crikey
