Fox92 Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 I wouldn't call it shut but it's not great. It's okay. Out of his hands I can't think of a better distributor but when he's kicking he often puts it out of play/kicks it too long. He contributes a lot to our attacking prowess with his distribution. I'm a big fan of just rolling it out, it's just a shame our defence aren't too good with the ball at their feet. Fuchs is good on the ball, mind.

His distribution for Vardys record breaking goal was utterly brilliant IMO. I can see why people get frustrated with it but when it comes off (and it comes off more than people care to acknowledge) it's really brilliant.
lgfualol Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Wonder why Hernandez hasnt been announced yet seeing as we seemed to sign him first
Leicesterfan Cambiasso Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 I'm 90% sure Schmeichel is told to kick it out of play. He is doing what is asked of him. He never kicks the ball out of play in the warm-up. We're very effective at winning the ball back from throw-ins and I think we end up getting the ball back a higher percentage of the time than if we were to kick it long and hope for a flick-on.
filbertstreet Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Wonder why Hernandez hasnt been announced yet seeing as we seemed to sign him first germans are more efficient and complete all the medicals quicker, basic science mate
MPH Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 What was the fee again? ~2.7m I think. it's probably best to point out 2.7m ( IMHO) isnt his true value, that was his relegation release clause fee...
DB11 Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Erm, if I'm not mistaken, I've seen him consistently kick the ball straight out of play too many times. It's all relative. People around me, including myself, get frustrated with it. Hmm pretty sure that's a deliberate tactic so we press them from the throw
Wymsey Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 No need for Schwarzer as Stowell is right man for the goalkeepers still. Stowell's another valuable asset that doesn't really get recognised.
Filbert_Ross Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Hmm pretty sure that's a deliberate tactic so we press them from the throw I like the thought of that to be honest , but the fact he's always done it under 3 different managers makes me think otherwise. It is possible been told to do it more though.
Koke Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Kaspe's throws are good but his kicking can be dreadful. Especially from goal kicks or when the ball is stationary and he's kicking it up field. He just kicks it out of play.
m4DD0gg Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Great signing and much needed strength in depth as well as competition for kasper

He used to kick it out of play under Pearson and Sven as well. So I don't think it's a tactic. His kicking is just horrendous. When he throws it out then it's good though.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Not going to pretend I know much about this chap but if he's good enough for Walshy he's good enough for me.
eddylcfc Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Superb! With us competing in four comps next season Kasper will in all likelihood need a rest at some point (FA Cup and League Cup) so its nice to have a top class replacement. Also if Kasper does get injured we don't need to fret about emergency loans etc so really shrewd business from the club.

Kitchandro Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 There was a time on here when people believed stowell made our goalies worse I'm not sure there's been evidence to suggest he's made them better...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 THERES ONLY RON ROBERT ZIELER RON ROBERT ZIELERRRRRR
Babylon Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 This is so inaccurate it's untrue. His stats prove otherwise From what I've read from people who have looked into keeper distribution stats, his is actually generally woeful. He does contribute a decent amount of key passes (5) compared to other keepers (top clubs generally 1 or 2 key passes), but considering how he plays it long much more often, you'd expect that. You have to sit through hundreds of woeful kicks to get one one that was actually worth while.
sdb Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Kasper has surely set up more goal scoring opportunities/attacks than almost any other keeper on earth this last season. I can't think of many keepers with better distribution, especially considering Kasper is instructed to rush his.
