Ulloa has been great for us but as an out and out striker Slimani is far better. Ulloa holds the ball up well but his finishing in the final third is not comparable I don't doubt that, but he is doing this in Liga NOS I don't rate that league at all,

Maybe Bologne, Italy, is actually Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/g-lcfc#ac985d2 I have just tracked Rudder's Pigeon and it was sucked into the Engine on Vichai's Jet. The paper work may be delayed.

That combined with going to a team not in the CL loses all respect from me. That's not true. He put a statement out thanking the coaches, players, staff and fans.
justfoxes Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 We've come along way in the last few years who would have honestly thought we would be spending up to £68.5m on two players ? By the looks on ESPN we have met Silvas £38m release clause and paid about £30m for Slimani it's unbelievable that last years Premier league champion winning side and correct me if I'm wrong ( I'm sure somebody will !) cost under £25m and now we're spending this kind of money on players not only does it show our superb owners are here for the long term but show ambition to compete in the EPL and CL and not just be there for the ride ! our club is looking the healthiest and wealthiest it has ever been and what would be icing on the cake would be to retain our championship and to go as far as possible in the champions league !!

The current most well rounder footballer in the world came from Lisbon in Portugal. The Premier leagues POTY and sports writers POTY came from non-league and the second division in France.
Wymsey Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Taking a long while tbh. Must be work permit, visa etc in process.

adimo1409 Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Well he is gonna have his medicals in Italy since he doesn't have a European nationality so he needs work permit and all this Portuguese league is around the same level of French league except for PSG who is better than most EPL teams if not all I am sure he is gonna be a good addition for the team

Being one of the players of the season, and as such majorly contributing of sports biggest achievements in history, sort of tops having a little cry at the end of your last game, for me anyway. And as has been pointed out he did acknowledge us as a club anyway. Beggars belief people actually want to boo him and spray paint over his face. As for Chelsea I will reiterate, he did us a favor by going somewhere that had to pay more than his buyout, and they may not be in the CL this year, but sustainabley going forwards who do you honestly think is going to be more successful?
UPinCarolina Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Have I missed anything important in the 3 hours since I last sat refreshing this topic for 15 minutes on end?

He's either having his medical in Boulogne, France or Bologna, Italy. The emergency lighting at some airport was not on and apparently lukas jutkizwicz doesnt look like david nugent but more like matty fryatt
Finnegan Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 All the stick for Leo is a bit ridiculous. The man managed double figures in his and our first season in the Prem when we were bottom for most of the year and dreadful. Given he's never really quite fit our counter attacking football, he's done alright here. Nobody's claiming he's Zlatan but he's hardly Akinbiyi either.

One thing I can say about Leo Ulloa we could well have to drop the "yes he cost a fortune" after todays proceedings.

Yeah 70% cheese puns I'm afraid with a brief flirtation with butter based punery too if I recall accurately. Somebody needs to write an open letter to the cheese punners though...

If Vardy hadn't smashed it last season then we'd probably remember that more fondly. Yes, he's got his weaknesses (largely with the ball at his feet and in front of goal), but like Shinji he makes a valuable contribution to the team that shouldn't be overlooked.
