I hate to be That Guy but the defending in a lot of his videos is ****ing Sunday league.

The amount of free headers and two yard unmarked tap ins he gets is insane.

Decent strikers make their own space. I remember Messi making boateng look like he played for Oadby town.

In the end it's all relative, I think he'll be a success here.

No issue with spending 30m per se, just think that if we are going to do that it should be for a first-choice target already playing at our level, in a position that will improve the team in the way we already play, not chancing on an admittedly long-term target from a poor league when we have three who can play the CF role already.

The fact this has come so late and the fee gone up so quickly is indicative of panic from our side and gleeful hand-rubbing from theirs. Spending whatever it takes on average players is exactly the problem.

Very few people seem to actually rate this guy. What does he even bring to the way we play now? He's not a 10, he doesn't play out wide. He doesn't play the Okazaki role, and when we dispensed with Okazaki to play with 2 CFs we looked toilet, so Okazaki should play. He never takes Vardy off so theres no room there. With Musa looking decent and deployable wide it looks like we're about to spend 30 million on someone to come on for Okazaki after 70 minutes and get in the box a bit. Not worth it. Are we changing system or what?

I expect everyone will be creaming a lot later today...

AS for that video, and the defending, there's one thing you need to understand.

The game here is played very differently. Most teams in our league cannot play against the big three openly, they'd get trashed. So they park the bus. So there's a lot of passes and crosses into the box. Slimani manager to slide himself into the right position where he can them ram that goal for all it's worth.

Stiltons of work to be done on the deal, by the sounds of it.

Well he's better than Okazaki and Ulloa so I expect him to start with Vardy. He's an actual striker that can actually be dangerous/score goals without falling over and has an engine on him.

That's the best bit of clutching at straws you'll see today.

100 pages is well within reach yet the target end seems more elusive...have we been forsaken? Someone sacrifice a virgin, stat!

How so? We've pulled players from "lesser" leagues before that have turned out to be ballers. Mahrez came from a dodgy French division, how many decent defenders do you think they have?

Babbling on about it's a weak league so it must be a weak player is complete and utter drivel.

I was dead against spending so much on someone like him at his age... then I saw how much money championship sides are now pumping on bang average players and realised we're effectively spending about what £5m was 15 years ago.

Kodija to Villa for £15m says it all.

Hold the phone, I didn't say he'll be a bad player,  I simply pointed out the standard of the Portuguese league outside the top four is absolute dog muck. He's on, what, 0.75 goals a game over there?

He won't be here.
