England V Russia Match Thread

Rooney has been our best player. Class.

I actuall thought Alli was better than him.

Rooney's lost his pace, something that made him a success over the past 10 or so years, unfortunately.

I don't think a 15 minute team talk is going to improve Russia that much.

We look too good, except that we haven't SCORED!!

I hope Ian Wright agrees this is set up perfectly for Vardy. I have a feeling he might...

Could genuinely see Vardy being the match winner here. Woy wouldn't bring Rashford on instead....... would he?

Nothing that man does surprises me anymore.

Prefer if we'd of had Albrighton in place of Lallana

With that theres better balance and an actual winger that can put a ball in, all Lallana's done is stopped the LB passing forwards in their half and wasting chances

England performance has been absolutely fantastic so far, everything but the goal despite numerous chances.

Formation looks balanced and has given us width and threat.

Rooney getting on the ball and pulling the strings from the middle of the pitch.

All very positive, but need the goal badly.

Wouldn't put it past him, and to be fair Rashford would do a good job.

24 goals last season earns his opportunity to play for England well ahead of Rashford.

the amount of kane hate in this thread makes me sympathise with him lol

I have to admit in the past I've done it as a bit of a joke but he's been gash so far tonight.
