MC Prussian Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 wossatmeen? Both Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Leicester City are keen on signing Aleksandar Dragovic and are bidding 15 million Euro so far - but Kiev want 22 million Euro.
jammie82uk Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 Didn't you get the memo from the Milik thread we can't sign anyone who has had a poor Euro tournament
4everfox Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 Bayer Leverkusen or Leicester is a question I've heard before on this forum. Last summer with Aranguiz we probably weren't as famous as them, but this summer our fame eclipses theirs massively. The tables have turned, we will be considered as better then Leverkusen after last seasons heroics by a vast majority of the footballing world. In three years we have gone from being better then Burnley to being better then Leverkusen and the whole of England, madness!
MPH Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 What's that I just read? We just bid several million euros below the asking price!? I don't believe it!
mozartfox Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 Who hasn't[/quote The entire Austrian Team had a stinker and Drags only played for 50% of the 3 matches. Even the over-rated Alaba played like Ritchie Wellens carrying an injury. So I would pay to much attention to his performance in the Euros.
CosbehFox Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 Find it weird how we are chasing centre backs tbh. Unless the plan is Wasyl to be let go if we get another one in
Gerard Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 Find it weird how we are chasing centre backs tbh. Unless the plan is Wasyl to be let go if we get another one in There's been a lack of right backs linked so far. Hernandez has played some of his career at right back and although reportedly a better centre half he might be being lined up as a right back. The way we play our right back at a push could be played by a right sided centre half as the role is almost exclusively defensive and Simpson plays very narrow anyway. Hernandez also has a Fuchs like throw and will be better in the air. We might have Simpson & Hernandez competing for the right back spot and Morgan, Huth, Dragovic??? competing for our centre back spot with Hernandez and Was as cover?

Be disappointed if Hernandez plays RB. Personally not huge fan of centre backs playing full backs, see WBA

Personally not huge fan of centre backs playing full backs, see WBA Unless we're going to change our Modus Operandi for right backs then why not Hernandez at right back? Simpson offers next to nothing offensively so if Hernandez took his spot they would be similar type players but Hernandez would be more solid in the air.
bald reynard Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Kiev want 22m Euros for him. A lot, but a good player. Seems to be some speculation that we'll be bidding and want to talk to him, now Austria are out of the Championships.
mozartfox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 I will keep an eye on local press. Normally more reliable than the Star and Sun/Mirror etc.
