ajthefox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 If we could get him on the right deal financially I wouldn't say no, the guy has experience and his quality won't have vanished even if his pace has.
tsintskaro Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Last time i checked leicester was not Chinese or american club, nor PSG so dont be one
filbertstreet Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Last time i checked leicester was not Chinese or american club, nor PSG so dont be one leicester is most definitely a chinese club mate
Jattdogg Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 No thanks. Lets try not to be a retirement golden goose egg for past-it-prem-league-standards-players. Not saying that he isnt a bad player but expectations will be big salary with downsides (possibly more injury prone) and a desire to have a multi year contract. If he is willig to do a 1 year contract for less then vardy money perhaps. Go to china VP.
Master Fox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 100% yes from me. He won't be starting every game but you know he'll chip in with some vital goals in games coming of the bench.
JayPittardBlueatheart Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 From all the interviews I have seen he looks like a real genuine honest man. I may be wrong but I cannot find anyway to doubt his attitude. As for his glass legs, I have faith in our medical team to get the best out of anyone!
Lambert09 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Why do our fans only want a plan A? Yes he doesnt fit our style, but he wouldnt be starting games. He would be an alternative option for games where we need to break someone down. He would be able to add the finishing touches to the chances that we often squander
dayday Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 From all the interviews I have seen he looks like a real genuine honest man. I may be wrong but I cannot find anyway to doubt his attitude. As for his glass legs, I have faith in our medical team to get the best out of anyone! Louis Van Gaal sold him due to his lack of team spirit, maybe that would change around the city players
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 This would be a backwards step i reckon. We're supposed to be building on what we have
GaelicFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 I wasn't keen Slept on it Would be a cracking signing on lots of levels But it carrys risks , mainly to team harmony But if Claudio and walshie think its progression and want him then we have to back them and him compleatly
TrentFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 I thought he looked truly ordinary in his last season in PL. I doubt he's improved during his time away. The fact that his wages would be very significant makes this a no-brainer for me. A Sven signing maybe!
HoustonFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Louis Van Gaal sold him due to his lack of team spirit, maybe that would change around the city players Louis Van Gaal was a buffoon of the highest order
The whole world smiles Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Lads he's not coming here, save your energy and the foxes talk server space discussing it.
mozartfox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Cambiaso was the absolute exception to signing an elderly former star who is looking for Pension top-up. This would not be a good signing for us. Burnley of China but not us please.
ozvaldo Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Champions League Experience.A good pro.Positive player to have around the club. He'd certainly help us attract more young, quality players - although we seem to be doing pretty good business as it is. I'd have him in.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 We don't want RVP. We don't want another player well past his best at the club especially not as a striker. He's not the player he once was. I guess it's all nonsense anyway tbf.
NewquayFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 We've had a couple of so called 'has beens' over the last few years (Phillips & Cambiasso) and they worked out well, if our coaches can get RVP into the LCFC mindset then I would give him a go.... Up the City...
ScouseFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 he's just followed jamie an riyad on twitter so he can get to know them before pre season starts properly. classic.
dorsetboy Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 When teams are sitting back I feel he would be ideal to just sit in the cf role he has lost pace yes but has great passing and shooting from around the box and can hit a sweet free kick to unlock those 10 at the back teams
Dames Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Free transfer on reasonable wages, absolutely get him in. Just having players of his quality around will raise the performance of the other players.
tsintskaro Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 okay i know he has got huge experience and ahead is champions league and he is cappable of at least playing one halt, but dunno He will be 33 soon, that means he has got just 1 season and in the next summer club have to find another forward I vote for younger option
Grewks Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Funny how RVP on a free...is more of a gamble than £30 million on Deeney.
Tom1983 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 It’s a Yes from me, he may not be as fast as vardy but neither is Ulloa. This season fast counter attacking football will not be the way to win a game and the talent of RVP would give us a different dimension
