Jattdogg Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Ive given up on players and loyalty. When it happens its great. When it doesnt they can fook off. He played fantastically and was instrumental in helping us win the league. I will never forget the beautiful season it was. One of our heros for the season. Of course leaving to chelsea was and is a cvntish move and for that he is a cvnt. But to literally feel that and mean it 100% is tough. Love and hate can coexist and i suspect a lot of us feel conflicted about the loveable knobhead. Hope we beat chelshit twice this season.
trabuch Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 2nd half yesterday has got me absolutely buzzing for this season. I'm sure it's going to be MASSIVELY entertaining. I'm not sure we'll ever win the league again in my lifetime - but we'll always have that - and this year we'll see some crazy days. Yep. I'm well over him.

I'm confident we can all still be friends though

He did it extremely well but he had plenty of gratitude when we offered him £100K a week and sky rocketed his name to stardom in the 12 months he was here. Yes he helped take us to the top but leaving in the fashion he did and for the club he did could knock us all the way back down by itself. Not just from a footballing point of view but from a status one as well. It's a betrayal which drags our club's name through the mud and there's no way he's getting called a hero for treating us like that. There's being good at footballing and then there's respect, they're very different things. lolol We'll make all of our other players take blood oaths for you from here on out.
foxinsocks Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 He is on his journey and we are on ours - he came to us and helped us to win the pl; and we helped his career. IT was nice while it lasted but parting was inevitable. I don't criticize the guy for wanting to go in the direction his heart or head told him to go. It is disappointing that someone with his talent thinks Chelski is a better option for him than us (...they will find it along way back...) - I honestly expected him to go to real or barca. We will have many players over time - some who will stay and some who will go (because the club wants rid or because they want money or because they have other dreams). But... if it was July 15, would I hire him again ? Yes - he was one part of our amazing story. Let's not did him now. Buddhists say we must not be attached to things - that is why we must appreciate what we have when we have it. Let's applaud him what he did for us... and then get back to supporting the player we have right now... and our club for the coming seasons... How come so many post about Kante when today we have Musa's gaols to celebrate!
Tielemans63 Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 I think most people are over Kante's exit however it's obvious that he was key to our tactical approach last season and his leaving does create a number of questions about how our approach will differ. Is it not normal to debate the impact a player's exit will have on a football forum? Doesn't mean you're obsessed with the guy.

Chester Dontlie Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 That's a very wise poem fuchsntf but I still can't get over it. I have nothing against Chelsea, especially after they had helped Leicester in that game against Tottenham, but because of Kante's move I hope they'll have a nightmare of a season. He could go anywhere in Europe but he chose a local rival... who finished the season in 10th place? It's like you're Robin ****ing Hood and you meet Lady Marion and fall in love with her you win the ****ing crusades together with your merry band and you liberate the country and then you're crowned king and then marry her and Bocelli comes and serenades you and the whole world is at your feet and then one evening when you're having a pint with other merry men she texts you "Hi hun I think I fancy the Sheriff hes got the BLING! xoxoxox". That little smiling money grabbing cnut
ARM1968 Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Kante is irreplaceable but he has also gone. So we've already let go. No need to do it again. He's a great player but a greedy and easily lead fool. May his cup runeth over at Chelski.

And it will upset Scouse.

We need another player, or players to bring their own successfull style, not clones of.... I hope the manager and players, make their own new story, and not go hunting for excuses. If fans happen to notice, many great successful sides, didnt have a Kante. How many of you have yapped 1 players doesnt make a team. Do the squad a favour, do your future posts a favour, dont doubt new players upon any comparisons. look how Manutd, Arsenal, Chelsea, had their eras of greats but each season moved on. We are tending to forget our own words..."Fearless" being at the forefront. Kante earnt the right to be remembered in our footballing hearts, but dont forget he left us, by forgetting to believing in the continuing story... I'm glad the little kunte has gone, we don't need shitslike that in the team, only cares about money, hope he likes rotting on the Chelsea bench.

School and chav jokes? It's a public forum so I am entilted to my opinion as you are of yours, no matter how wrong either are. People can be thankful for kante or what ever they want, I personally hope he rots in the reserves.
HighPeakFox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 He is a great player, he may well have made a very bad decision indeed. Words like Judas have no place in this, though....I wish he'd stayed, but he didn't. NEXT!
davieG Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 I shall continue to mourn our loss because it enables me to remember fondly ali the times I've sat with my son looking bemused at how he came away with the ball in seemingly impossible situations. Of course we'd all have loved him to stay but it's his life and people should remember that every one of our signings we've made has probably caused despair and anger to the fans of the previous club. As for the Chelsea comparable status the only thing we have is a year in the CL which is seemingly becoming less important to players when you consider the club's some highly rated players are signing for

Your use of such hostile language, aimed at one of the best players I've ever seen in a City shirt, who was instrumental in us winning our first ever top flight honours made me assume you must be about 10. Simply because he left us. Man up and get over it.
An Away Move Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 I'm still not over it. I want to wish him well and rationally understand that we should be thankful for having him, especially when he probably didn't want to come here in the first place. BUT after winning the thing and gaining Champion's league football I wish he'd have given us one more year to consolidate and strengthen. I honestly think we could have defended our title if he had stayed (along with Mahrez). I think that is far less likely now the little shit has gone to Chelsea.
wokinghamfox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Couldnt careless if I never saw the twat again.

NewEnglandFox Posted 8 August 2016 Posted 8 August 2016 Kanté didn't start are first 3 league games last year, King did. It wasn't until after the Bury League cup game that he became a starter. I think all of y'all are getting ahead of yourselves hoping a finished product will appear when the last one hadn't by now. And so what if our next CM plays the same way as Kanté, we need to play to our strengths, not fit someone else's mold. I'm a big fan of the to stand still is to fall behind mentality. Kanté leaving forces us to move on which really is for the best.
Fox92 Posted 8 August 2016 Posted 8 August 2016 Already looks like we're missing him. Drinkwater looked like he was playing on his own yesterday, he tried everything. Time will tell but King doesn't offer the energetic box to box performance Kante did. I'd like to see Amartey alongside Drinkwater.
