shen Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Shame about Kanté feeling the need to leave. All of the others committing speaks volumes about the desire to stay on for at least this season.
MC Prussian Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Everyone loves a success story, be it on a club or individual level and Danny's been nothing but a joy to the eye of the beholder ever since he joined the club. He's become more dominant with each year passing and I wish him very well for the upcoming few years. What makes it special is that he's English and always come across as humble and down-to-earth, which renders him very likeable. May the spirit of Paul Scholes be with you, DD. You've got all the right attributes to follow in your idol's footsteps.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Superb news, and a real boost ahead of Saturday - timing is ideal.
foxy boxing Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 great news, he is our midfield engine and gets us running and showed his quality last season and will continue to do so will hopefully form a good partnership whoever is next to him in central midfield

lifted*fox Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 I wonder who makes the t-shirt that Danny's wearing. Anyway, top stuff. A proper pro and clearly has a lot of love for the club - keeping players like Drinkwater is essential to retaining the drive and 'passion' that has got us to where we are. Danny sets very high standards for himself and expects the same level of professionalism from those playing around him. 100% future captain material.

Dan Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Legend in the making. Absolutely quality midfielder and the biggest scandal of Hodgson's era that he wasn't taken to France. Thankfully it looks like Big Sam's seen sense and is putting him back in. We did lose our star this summer, but we've held onto everyone else and we look to keep adding. It's working out for us after all.
Ozwin Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Brilliant news. Still not even in his prime yet. Get a proper partner in for him and who knows where this team can take us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Told ya it would happen. Our success has led to the signing of lucrative contracts for many players. In the case of Drinks, we'll deserved and I'm happy for the club. He's a good player.
Countryfox Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 So happy and so relieved !! Tbh if we didn't have DD running the show in midfield we would be fooked ! ... simple as.
ousefox Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Hell of a player. What an amazing signing he was.

desertfox2 Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 Great news. Agree with the future captain comments too.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 'Here's to you Danny Drinkwater and Leicester loves you more than you will know'. Great player. Noticeable again on Saturday that when he gets into the game we start to have much better control. Absolute class. I really don't want him tainted by being called up for England but he should get 50 caps +.
AKCJ Posted 25 August 2016 Posted 25 August 2016 He'll end the season with the public agreeing with us that he's the best English midfielder.
