So weird as in France he was known for his passing ability. He is ****ing awful.....

Where? He was briefly at Monaco, as far as I know, no fookers have really said he was anything amazing?

Anyhow, he is gash

He was quality for nice, was part of their team that finished 4th.

I get the feeling he's never truly recovered and just isn't match fit.

He lack confidence for sure, rarely lifts his head and makes a forward pass unless he has AMpl E time

Who says?  I've read loads on him, and no-one has really said he is anything special?

Everything I read before he signed was positive.

Must read different things, he was bang average at nice, however even still, I would expect him to be better then he is showing right now.

To think that Ranieri allegedly wanted to sign him rather than Kante in summer 2016. Says everything that you need to know about Ranieri. Mendy offers nothing. So limited.

I thought that, insane. No wonder Walsh left, he knew.

Mate, this isn't authentic fans opinion of Mendy, this is typical transfer hype.  At the time, of the rumours, I contacted my French colleagues, and they said he was bang average, and laughed at the thoguht of him replacing Kante.  These guys know the league and know there stuff, and there opinions have shown to be well justified

We haven't got Kante so it's totally irrelevent, Every manager and coach has to work with what he's got. On my coaching course we actually drew the players we worked with at random (and right little heroes they proved too).

You look at what you've got, decide where the strengths are and what weaknesses need to be protected and make every component player feel like he's the best footballer in the world at doing what you're asking of him.

We've had weeks and weeks where perfectly reasonable players are looking like First War infantry suffering from shell shock. Every setback makes them more nervous, more uncertain and as if the're wondering if their next breath will be their last.

People will think I'm being melodramatic referring to our long runs of "nils" but that is what a lack of confidence and belief breeds in a club. People who can't even scored one-on-one from four yards.

It is NOT all about the players but all about their psyche. Cautious managers like Ranieri seem to encourage uncertainty. Even (if anyone can still remember) when we get in front his instinct is then to defend that goal rather than to score again and be bloody ruthless.

We need to have the mentality of warfare. Get on top, stay on top and do absolutely everything to prevent a turnaround. Even an injured enemy can shoot passing soldiers in the back if they ignore him.

Not sure how you can link mendy with WW1 but what the hell. If mendy was in the trenches he'd be in the artillery regiment sending high looping missiles accurately on to the enemy without any risk of injuring or killing colleagues with friendly fire. He'd be given a medal for it.

Although I didn't mention Mendy specifically (he's presumably still finding form after his injury) it's a pity I've seen so little of that pinpoint precision you describe on the football field. Perhaps he's in the wrong job.

Mendy accurately lobbed the ball to the opposition on numerous occasions today. Absolute pin point precision.

Sounds perfect for a military role!

Probably because he's not a kante type player. But still, the reviews were generally positive as a simple water carrier - base of a three, foot on ball, calm it down and move us out: like Dier at spurs; but that's not how we're using him. As for colleagues saying he was bang average - there are people on here who would claim Mahrez isn't good enough because he's a bit hit and miss and lightweight. An opinion can be utter trash.

Another utter waste of money. 1.4 million would have been nearer the mark and even that would have been overpirced. He wouldn't even be good enough in the Championship.
