treer Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 ON the Sunderland forum there is a thread about our clackers, basically the clackers in most posts are being slagged off , and then comes the classic post " I wish we were clacking away as English champions in the champions league. "
one F in Fox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Look, what as fans are we supposed to do? The club decided to put them out on our seats, we didn't get a say in it I'm not a massive fan of them but look at our home form since we've had them. The club put them out and the fans who usually would sit in silence use them. You've got to say, when you look around the ground and everyone is clacking away, it's a great sight and sound!
lcfcben76 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Yeah I don't like them personally and don't think it sounds great but if it gets people involved then why not. Don't really mind clappers if it makes the owners happy, the least we can do is not moan about them
broughtonblue Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Please don't throw them as some people are frightened they might hurt if hit by one!!
CosbehFox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 It might just be me but there does appear to be less using them. It's annoying sometimes that chants get lose in repetitive paper clapping which can't follow the tune.
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Do we have clappers? Yes. Do we have one of the best home atmospheres in the country? Yes. Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks.

adejo92 Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 They improve what is an already amazing atmosphere so who can complain. Can't help but think for the money we have spent on them so far we could have almost got another bargain Mahrez or Vardy though!
m4DD0gg Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 Best thing to happen to our stadium since it was built
Finnegan Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 Because, as those of us who have been to Sunderland know, that lot really know how to create an atmosphere, yeah?
GaelicFox Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 Love the clackers , love the atmosphere , love the club still champions fcuk what anyone else says
Lestagirl Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 The atmosphere last night was amazing, agree with Gaelic...fcuk what anyone else thinks!
lgfualol Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 We have clackers, Sunderland have abandoning their team and going home after 60 mins.
sylofox Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 I so hate being a city fan. Clappers a Premier League title and a 100% CL record. Oh to be a Sunderland fan and have fvck all
KFS Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 Don't use one myself but there were times last night where the noise was frightening. I kept trying to imagine what it would be like as a Porto fan trying to get some support over to my team against a wall of deafening noise, but I've never experienced that at any English away game I've been to... especially not Sunderland
fazzyfox Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 The GP surgeries of Leicestershire are choc full of people with a form of tinitus where they hear the clappers even when they're away from the ground. Look out for complimentary ear plugs any time soon!
Simi Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 Don't like them and pleased nobody around me uses one. The noise they make when close to you is atrocious.
HighPeakFox Posted 28 September 2016 Posted 28 September 2016 I have sat near some morons at matches from time to time - the noise they make when close to you is atrocious...

I've always been dismissive of people moaning about people throwing them. But i took one to the back of the head yesterday and it was like getting punched at full force.I can only think it was the bit below the elastic band which end up like a mini Millwall brick
