Stat time

  • Club Brugge are winless in their last nine games against English clubs in all competitions (D2 L7), failing to keep a clean sheet in any of those games.
  • Club Brugge's only previous encounters with English clubs in the European Cup/Champions League both ended in defeat: 0-1 v Liverpool in the 1978 final and 0-3 v Leicester City in this season's group stages.
  • Leicester City's two home games in this season's Champions League have both ended 1-0, with Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani involved on both goals as goalscorer and assist provider.
  • Leicester City are the first team in Champions League history to keep a clean sheet in each of their opening four games. Indeed, Kasper Schmeichel - who broke his hand in the last CL game against Copenhagen - has saved all 11 shots on target he's faced.
  • Leicester City could also become the first team since Malaga in 2012/13 to win their group in their first ever Champions League appearance.
  • Only Rostov have averaged a lower passing accuracy (68%) than Leicester (71%) in this season's Champions League.
  • This is Club Brugge's fifth Champions League participation and they still have never reached the knockout stages. They finished third in their group in each of their four previous campaigns.
  • Club Brugge are the only club, along with Dinamo Zagreb, to have lost all four of their games in this season's Champions League. The Belgium team have never failed to win a game in a previous CL group stage though.
  • Club Brugge have managed just one clean sheet in their last 13 Champions League matches.
  • Club Brugge have also scored only three goals in their last 10 Champions League away games.
  • Jamie Vardy has had two shots on target in his first 334 minutes in the Champions League, none of them have found the back of the net.

Gray with his customary random tweet::

"Gods good. Grateful" (sic)

Does this mean he's starting tomorrow, as I know Ranieri tells the players the team the day before.

Or just another crappy unexplained tweet?

Sounds like he'll definitely be starting. I don't think he'd put out that tweet otherwise.

I'd take two 0-0 bore draws in the two remaining games, in order to get the all-time clean sheet record, plus it would also mean topping the group.

We will probably concede though.

If Brugge do their homework they should be able to get a point at least without Slimani. I think we may win with a nervy 1-0, probably from the penalty spot because we cant create otherwise.

Can't make this one unfortunately as missus is working and have no childcare for my youngest so going to watch at home. I'm content with this decision based on a) if we get a positive result then there will be at least one more CL game to go to and b) if we get stuffed, I'll be glad I'm not there to witness it!

I don't care if we've been awful recently, I'm so excited to see the boys in the champions league for the first time (and quite probably only). We could lose 4-0 today, but I could always say I've watched us in the champions league, and that is just incredible.

Last season has gone to people's heads, and it's sucking the enjoyment out of this season for them, which is a shame to see.

Why would you also be pissed off if we won tonight?

We're going to lose this one

That's the spirit chap.......

come on, I know the last few weeks have been grim, but supporting our team will always be a roller coaster, and maybe, just maybe, tonight we will see something of a rebirth. Sure we might mess up, but perhaps we will be brilliant again.

get into 'em...........
