Alf Bentley Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 "Larger-than-life character" and self-confessed FIFA crook Chuck Blazer gone at 72: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40590960 I'm tempted to say: chuck him in a hole and chuck his blazer in after him (would need to be a big hole, given the size of him). Is that too harsh? 1
General Smuts Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Came on to see my points roll in for Chuck Blazer. Had him in 2016 but not this year. ****flaps.
Tuna Posted 16 July 2017 Posted 16 July 2017 George A. Romero, horror legend and the man who practically invented the zombie genre.

General Smuts Posted 17 July 2017 Posted 17 July 2017 That's not good Romero and Landau in quick succession means a 3rd big name is imminent, Someone check if Arsenal are playing a friendly tonight with Aaron Ramsey in the lineup!
MC Prussian Posted 17 July 2017 Posted 17 July 2017 (edited) Goodbye Martin, you handsome SOB. Always remember you fondly for the original Mission Impossible TV series and for chasing after Cary Grant in North by Northwest. Edited 17 July 2017 by MC Prussian

Durnerz Posted 20 July 2017 Posted 20 July 2017 Chester Bennington of Linkin Park apparently dead. Hung himself. Sadly doesn't look like there will be an encore now he's become so numb...

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 July 2017 Posted 20 July 2017 Bloody horrible news. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were great albums, Hybrid Theory probably the first CD I actually ever listened through all the way from start to finish on my own as an 11 year old without getting bored. 2
TeamRocket Posted 21 July 2017 Posted 21 July 2017 R.i.P Chester never was really much of a fan of linkin park until my wife took me to watch em. Remember going to the rising Sun tour and rocking out to it so much that we went from bham NEC to London o2 one after the next after watching lcfc play Sheffield. But RIP Chester my prayers are with ur friends and family

M0901 Posted 21 July 2017 Posted 21 July 2017 Loved Linkin Park. Brilliant group with a unique style. Mental health is no joke but it's taken it's toll on poor Chester. Gutted.

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 21 July 2017 Posted 21 July 2017 (edited) Helps if the joke is funny... I didn't laugh and a lot of others didn't i'm sure, but ultimately we don't want to live in a world where nothing is off-limits so i've got no issue with you if you wanna go there, hope you at least found it funny far too obvious and not very creative would be my personal observations if you want to head into comedy. Fair play to Chester, what he achieved after having a really tricky time growing up is nothing short of phenominal, this isn't just a lead singer of any band, i was at school when Linkin Park hit the radios - and they single-handidly changed my whole generations musical taste overnight. Not many groups come out who can do that in the world. Major respect to him, his art, his honest lyrics, he made a difference in this world. RIP to him, i'm still going through the Linkin Park back-catalogue and it's crazy how many top, top songs they made. Hybrid Theory could have had any of it's songs as singles and they would have done remarkably well. Edited 21 July 2017 by TAFKA Castroneves 1
