Vocey Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Bournemouth always seem to have our number tactically, but I'd go with this (and also think Claudio will) Zieler (unless Kasper is fit again) Amartey Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Vardy Slimani Subs: Hamer/Zieler, Hernandez, Mendy, James, Gray, Musa, Okazaki. you can't really drop anyone after the Man City game, but will be a tough match, would take a point
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 As hard as this game will be this is a real chance to kick on draw would be ok but a win would be amazing up the Foxes
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Not sure of our right back options. I'm really not keen on Hernandez but in the pre season game at Oxford Armartey did not look good. 3 points here and we'll be setting ourselves up for a much better second half of the season. MPH Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Im actually quite pleased that this game is coming so soon after the Man City game... the players will be absolutely buzzing from that game and i'd imagine they will want to get back out on the pitch as soon as possible.... Clever Fox Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 First Goal will be crucial. If we score first then we could go on to win comfortably. If we go behind then the recent doubt could creep back in to some players. 3 Points would be huge and move us up to mid table.
Loves2spooge Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 I'm actually happy slimani and vardy are starting to link up together , they needed some time a deadly trio of Mahrez Vardy and slimani would be....well Deadly The man city game is a proof that Last season's spirit is still there , Players just need that Ignition point in the game where they play like it's their last game
fuchsntf Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Go on then..I the permanent optimist, will for once go against the grain...Come on somebody has got to mention it... Mahrez and Vardy...will now have crap games, now they have been named and received accolades for 7th/8th place from the bal d'or commitee......We are doomed, the script has been written. The negos can prepare their posts, down to the gymn to practice for the knee-jerk but predictable reactions...whoop-whippi-whup-whup.. KingKoala Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 I think Bournemouth prefer to play open game so the exact same formation as the last match should work against them. However, my only concern is players condition as it's played in very short period from last game. Then again they must also be tired from last game. Ranieri may want to rotate some players for the Stoke game as well.

daddylonglegs Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Against a really good passing team away from home I'd say that, even tho it worked so well on saturday, 4-4-2 is not the way forward. unless we go at it with as much intensity, with one less man in midfield we could be over run. Chester Dontlie Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 One - nil win will do. I'd like to see Shinji and something other than 4-4-2 in this one. Gutted I'll probably miss this game, hopefully that's a good omen, I missed Man City one and the title winning form was back
demon_dog Posted 12 December 2016 Share Posted 12 December 2016 Very tough game for us, we always struggle against them. There's no way Vardy will be given the space he had against Man City. Mahrez as per usual will have 3 men around him. Would settle for a draw.
FireFox Posted 13 December 2016 Author Share Posted 13 December 2016 If 442 doesn't work first half, would love to see 3412 without a change in personnel. Zieler/Kasper Hernandez/Amartey - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs Mahrez - Drinky - Mendy/Amartey/King - Albrighton Slimani/Okazaki Vardy Zieler/Kasper Hernandez/A - Morgan - Huth Albrighton - Drinky - Mendy/A/K - Fuchs Mahrez Slimani/Okazaki - Vardy
foxfanazer Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 This is a massive game imo. No point beating Man City and then reverting to type against Bournemouth. Hopefully confidence is high!

whoareyaaa Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 Big game today, hoping after the Man City win the players will have gained a bit more confidence back form last season, showing they can beat anyone... another win today would be really sweet"! Max Power Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 Would take a point tonight and on Saturday. Just need to string a few results together. Fancy us to win if we score first though. Think Drinkwater comes in for Simpson, Amartey at full back.
filbertway Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 Shame for Amartey if he gets shunted out to right back as it's another new position he's going to be expected to adapt to, it's ridiculous that Simmo is our only right back.
Nick Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 Never seen a pre-match thread on the day of the match be so far down the 'recent posts' section! There must be a lot going on. So apparently we are chasing two new CDM's - interesting. I bet Drinks Amartey and Mendy are looking over their shoulders. Will Drinky start tonight? Will CR leave the team unchanged? God I hope we've turned a corner and get something out of the game tonight.

TrentFox Posted 13 December 2016 Share Posted 13 December 2016 Amartey at right back for me. He has match sharpness and confidence. More so than when he was playing that position! Hernandez looks extremely ordinary, at best.

I get your point but Amartey needs to stay where he is for me - he's just had the game of his life and I want to see him develop and do that again - with Drinks as well if possible.
