sylofox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 ITK's been told Manure are in and he would like to talk. So hope this is bollox.
FireFox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Surely we won't let him go without a PL proven replacement? We can't be left with Mendy, King, Amartey, Ndidi, Barnes James... three of which are young and inexperienced, one of which is coming back from a long term injury...
dbtcity Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If Man U come in for him I feel we'd have to let him speak to them or end up with a very unhappy player, he's a Man U fan that still lives in Manchester.... that being said I'd want at least 35m for him

Like I say rumour from my son and a mate niether connected. I'm just asking.

I don't doubt they might want him and so on, but there is no way we actually let him go. Not without a proper replacement, and we've not yet heard rumours of such. 4 minutes ago, matty98 said: Straight swap for Schneiderlin and Herrera Why not.
lgfualol Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Of course he would. Either play alongside the likes of Pogba and Herrera, or Andy King. Hm.
ceebeefox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 I thought the injury may have been a fabrication. He's a United kid with a point to prove having been discarded. Without him we have little creativity from central areas and the bits and pieces I've seen of Mendy I think show him to fall between two stools, not combative enough to replace Kante and not enough range in his passing or drive to replace Drinkwater. Waste of money.
Tuna Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Scenes when it's leaked Rudkin inserted a 20 million release clause!
Nick Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 It might explain the rumours of bringing in further midfield personnel..... Doubt they'll let him go this window though but money talks.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 He's just signed a new contract. He's our most important player. £45m+ .
Guest Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If he goes, and he would want to I'm sure, then we'll be relegated. Need to tell him he's staying until the end of the season.
themightyfin Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Oh no! http://thisisfutbol.com/2016/12/blogs/premier-league/manchester-united/manchester-united-interested-in-leicester-midfielder/

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Manchester United is the one club I could most likely see him at. As much as I want him to stay, he could become a real United star potentially. He's one of the best CM's in the league.
theessexfox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Carrick won't be there forever. Fellaini is cack, and Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger aren't getting a look in. Drinkwater could be their solution.
Hitesh Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Unfortunately I can see this happening. He's exactly the type of player Mourinho will be looking for and given he's an old boy and fan I can't see him staying. Hope he waits until we get a replacement!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Plus he will become a guaranteed England starter the moment he moves to Man Utd.
Sir Shep Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 This is old news though, anyway I'm sure a lot of our better players will be leaving soon enough, I just hope we can keep them until the seasons over. Of cause from Drinkys POV, he'll be a shoe in for England if he did move to Man U, even if he doesn't play.
AyewJoking Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 the good thing about mourinho being an arrogant príck is he will not rate a player like drinkwater.
urban.spaceman Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 They wanted him in the summer. The can go away.
