Fuchs off

Love the guy and he was fantastic last season, but I have to agree, watching him yesterday was bloody frustrating, it was frustrating watching all of them play but he just had a really off game, probably more noticeable because usually he's really consistently good... looked like the whole team went out on the piss on Saturday night, really poor effort, Drinkwater was the only one who looked like he was trying hard.

We didn't give Lloyd the extended contract because of his age despite that he probably would have featured a lot, it feels like the authoritative figures at the club are naive

It's time for Chilwell to come in and replace Fuchs now. He linked up very well with Gray in the half they played together.

But he was awful away at porto...

He was, his defensive positioning was woeful, he was also easily skinned by barkley the other week by not getting goal side. But these are mistakes that can be corrected, its not like fuchs hasnt turned out shambolic defensive displays either. Chilwell offers more of an attacking threat, shows great compusure and vision and is quick and tidy in the pass. First and formost he's a footballer, he isnt afraid to pass and move and retain possession, which are qualities we're desperate for currently.

He's been pretty consistent for us for 18 months. The last few weeks he's been abysmal.

I love Fuchs.

Got to disagree on the attacking threat, Fuchs puts in a far better ball, is more solid defensively too, Chillwell WILL be better, but not yet, he is very pacey.

Couple of poor performances in a shakey back line after time out and a bit of confidence loss to Chilwell and posters turn on him.

Christ - it's genuinely disgraceful after what this blokes done for us.

Amen to that. I find a lot of posts become more distasteful each week. Fuchs has been a tremendous City player. OK, so he's having a bad patch...they all are. But his heart and soul has been with us right from when he joined. And for some little plonkers on here to be writing what they are writing....genuinely not nice.

Yep he wasn't good but who was ?

Sorry, but I really like the guy and I hope we aren't looking for another scapegoat to blame for a poor Team performance.

Totally agree.  I've pointed the finger at players that I think are not giving of their best but Fuchs is not one of them. I've watched some crap performances by city on and off for years but if I can see them as individuals busting a gut for the cause then I can accept it mostly. Players like Fuchs deserve our support when they're struggling with form, I  think it would be appreciated and paid back in effort.

I think the best thing that the club could've done is:

-let Fuchs stay for a season and let him go to America in the summer of 2017

-get a quality LB to be his replacement for the first half of the season and then let him translate to the starting spot by the start of the year

- keep Ben in the team to learn more and to play the FA cup games

so he can be ready to be at least the second LB in the 2017/2018 season.

It's like a lynch mob round here sometimes, which is why I'm not spending much time on FT at the mo.

I would like to say that I'm really not aiming that at any specific posters on this thread, i've just read through others which are pretty much a wall of negativity, and it is just exhausting.

See you when things pick up a bit.

Talk Sport laying in to him at the moment ... seems more bothered about his clothing range than football at the moment.

It's not just us City fans that are disgusted at what is going on at the club.

Forget Porto look at the games chillwell has played in since he has been excellent.

I've tried. But I spunked a load of cash for them all to be gash.

But yes Chilwell looks average not excellent. We do love hyping a player. Let's see where he is in 3 years time.

Fuchs along with Drinkwater have had the most disappointing transformations from leaders to spineless embarrassments.

We only benefit from having Chilwell play the rest of the season.
