Fosse93 Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 I must be the only one who's confident with that team doing the job then!
kingfox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Can't find room for Kapustka, ffs Claudio. Yet again a lack of pace in that team.

I wouldn't mind the Fuchs/Chilwell combo in the 4-4-1-1 against tough opponents. But against Derby, who we will need to try break down.. It doesn't make sense for me.
GingerrrFox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Could have quite easily played this instead: Kasper Albrighton Morgan Huth Chilwell Mahrez Drinkwater Ndidi Gray Vardy Okazaki
Old Fox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Glad to see 442.......basically the established players from last season being told go and show what we are made of....... In a local derby I want committed players and he has picked that....whether it has enough flair we will see but win the battle first boys and Vardy hopefully rediscover his appetite

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 I've said it before he chooses each games formation channelling the spirit of Eileen. Last year he didn't think so much and we were extremely successful. Now he's trying to engage his brain more it's going to shite!!!
Barky Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Clearly an intentionally weakened team. I'm slightly disappointed that we're not playing our strongest team against derby in the FA cup but completely understand that other competitions take the priority.
lgfualol Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Champions taking a defensive team to a lower league team #magicofthecup
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Like Mendy needs a rest? Only played 4 games all year.
brucey Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 If this team has been picked with one eye on Tuesday then fair enough. But if this is what he considers his strongest team... no.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 One eye on the Burnley game I'm guessing, can't think of another reason why he'd pick that team.
maddog Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 The players have their favoured 4-4-2. The old guard of King/Morgan/Drinkwater/Vardy know the importance of this. I want to see gut busting effort from those lads in particular. If we do lose with a whimper, the players will be getting all my anger not Claudio. Claudio can't win the games the players have to.
Wakeyfox Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Maybe they will switch to a back 3 of Morgan, Huth and Fuchs

UPinCarolina Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 4-4-2 and we're giving 'er the bollocks. Come on you Foxes.

It's clear to see, yet many are sounding shocked. It looks like a team that Ranieri feels can compete and possibly get a result, but he's saving his first 11 for Tuesday.
The Doctor Posted 27 January 2017 Posted 27 January 2017 Ok, back to basics. King and drinkwater as a two is ok, even though I'd rather drinks and ndidi building up a partnership. Concerned about where the creativity is coming from though...
