Sakho is a loan what have we been doing :o

I don't really know what he does, but if he is responsible for the negotiating and bringing players in, then he has had a mare.

I can't believe Claudio said to him that just Wague will be fine...   I think he must have failed in landing at least a couple more.

Shocking, and could actually cost us staying up. I would seriously think of getting rid of him and shaking up the scouting network too

It's a loan deal but yep totally agree we should have been fighting for him

Already stated my view on him in the summer when he suddenly rose into power. Don't say I didn't warn you. He isn't afraid to ruffle feathers to get what he wants and it would appear he has ruffled the team morale as a result. Ulloa being a typical example.

Probably asked to loan him for the correct fees instead of 'we loan him, you pay his wages yeh, deal?'

Sakho on loan... I give up. Possibly the worst day we've had since relegation to league 1.

We've embarrassd a first team player whose now going to make the atmosphere toxic

We've signed a lad on loan who might well be good but is only half what we need

We'be lost to Burnley

Every one of our rivals got a result

And the majority of those rivals have made decent signings.

The worst thing about this is that no new signings does not give the current players any reason to actually get their heads down and compete for places. Imagine if we'd signed Michael Keane, Huth and Morgan would be crapping themselves. Whilst in reality who do they have behind them?

Good to see 30 of Rudkin's close friends and family popping onto the forum to support him.

Well, either that or he's used a VPN to create 30 aliases when he should have been BUYING SOME ****ING PLAYERS.

You useless cvnt.

We madE it clear we wanted him some time ago, it's Borough who have failed in getting a replacement.

The info I heard was that we hadn't offered enough money till recently

had we offered them the fee weeks ago, maybe they would have been able to secure one of those replacements?

Palace have recruited worryingly well this window. I'm sure they'll be safe. What Rudkin et al. don't realise is that we are in a relegation battle and should have recruited accordingly. Not tried to sign some players based on stats who aren't used to these kind of situations.

Posted

Should really give the manager total control over recruitment and let him alone decide which players to bring in at whatever the price. After all it is the manager who is deciding which team to play week in, week out. So he should have total control in getting players in. Do away with the Director of Football.

To think I got laughed at for suggesting him earlier, really worried about us now,

and under the circumstances I would rather have Hernandez and schulp still on board when you look at the lack of depth we have,we should all be careful what we wish for,the only thing that looks good is our bank balance

This bloke is an idiot. No two ways about it. He's a colossal weirdo who knows how to get to the top in business but is actually not remotely talented or even liked by his colleagues. He certainly doesn't know football.

As for his job, well he's the Director of Football. This essentially means he takes responsibility for the transfer dealings. He doesn't scout them, but once we've been advised to go after a certain player, he's in charge.

Now, one thing I would say is our scouts have been useless and take a huge portion of the blame. The majority of the players we've brought in in the last 3 transfer windows are not even nearly good enough for this level. Walsh based a lot of his work on statistics but it's clear he was the only one at the club who could actually spot talent by watching the player rather than just going on the statistics alone. I think the team he left behind have picked up his list and put too much faith in the stats. Walsh went to see players before making a decision. If his understudies have, then they clearly do not know how to spot talent at all.

But it's also clear that we haven't got our targeted players either. We've been panicking at the end, putting in crappy bids here and there and I don't believe for one second that the club aren't disappointed with the business they've done.

Like I said, many people at the club need to take a portion of the blame and Rudkin has a very important job that he isn't doing very well.

Success is based on results. That's life. At work, if you do not produce, you do not progress.

Rudkin failed as academy director - we have a shit academy. It serves no purpose. It doesn't subsidise the first team and one player every 12 years is not good enough.

He's now failed as director of football. The club cannot continue to charge champions league prices when the club is run like a league one outfit.

I'm very disappointed by the lack of ambition shown by the club during the last 2 windows - funny though that we had no hearings of Mahrez or Vardy going in Jan like the summer. Do we think maybe they were told only Kante goes from last season with maybe one or two fringe players (Schluup) going but the core of the squad stays for the next 12 months in order to keep them??

We've had a decent window IMO.

Apart from sleepwalking into relegation, that is...
