crazyleicester Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 We were well in the game but its more shocking defending. Mahrez cant do a thing, Vardy doesnt look like he can be arsed but Ndidi has been the best player on the pitch. People need to remember that offensively last season it was all about Danny, Mahrez and Vardy and all three of our superstars just arent performing. I love em all but they are all playing like shite and dont look able to be creative or score a goal. Forever hopeful
WoodyFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Think it'd actually be more beneficial if we didn't have Okazaki on the pitch. Not sure where this hard working perception comes from, even if he is hard working, he can't do anything else.
HoustonFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Halftime synopsis. Drinkwater awful. Morgan awful. Riyad, can't be arsed. Fuchs, awful. Shame we can only make three subs. If I never see any of them again this season I won't be bothered. Seriously, they are the root of this absolute crud. Maybe I am extra mad because I'm surrounded by a bar full of Manyoo fans.
shen Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Wouldnt that be something if Mourinho got Ranieri fired after this game to reverse the fortunes of the equivalent fixture last year?

Finnaldo Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Mata decision absolutely terrible, but that doesn't excuse the fact the defence undid 40 minutes good work by the whole team. It's worrying,
RowlattsFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Pretty comfortable and then bang. Last year Huth would have taken him out and took the yellow card. Failing to even recognise how poor the defence is will send us down.

We can't do either we wont be playing united every week though will we. If we continue our pressing and keep our defensive shape like we did in that first half, we will get results.
Tielemans63 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Since we conceded we've stopped pressing the ball and adopted a higher line- absolute suicide. Could be anything. The way heads went down after that first goal. This games done and dusted already
pSinatra Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Well played Ndidi. The rest - useless. As soon as Man Utd decided to turn up, we were there for the taking. Plenty of fight but very little quality.

justfoxes Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Huth and Morgan are shocking hope this loan CB is a decent t one mind you gotta be better than what we have already !?
STUHILL Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Positives: N'didi. Negatives: Everyone else. If Simpson gets the ball - 99% he will hoof. If Okazaki gets the ball - 99% he will fallover. I honestly think Drinkwater is costing us games with his woeful marking and work-rate in defence. Fuchs is looking like a 40 year old, along with Huth and Morgan. Mahrez is just too lighweight. For all his skills, any kind of physical pressure, and he is easily pushed off the ball. Vardy again has little to no service. The second goal was so easy. How can a ball be passed across the box like that to an unmarked Ibra. Ridiculous.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 We simply cannot defend.. Second balls, pull backs into the box, crosses. And if anything we look even worse going forward. No threat whatsoever. Can't string 3 passes together
daverollo Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Upshot is Huth diving in lead to 1st goal, Morgan giving Zlatan freedom of the box the 2nd goal. Nowt Claudio can do about that except pick our other centre half options! i was pleased first 40 mins, energy, pressure and looked defensively organised, with a good level of commitment.
foxfan92 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Okay so 2 defensive calamities. There are positives to take from this. Players generally look more up for it. Think Shinj is looking quite good to - making a nuisance of himself like he did so often last season. Biggest positive seems to be Ndidi - who I think is easily our best player on the pitch. If we can keep pressuring teams like today even if we don't win this one we should win some games. More positives ...? Hopefully won't be double figures by the end as some feared ...
TMELcfc Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Defended ok for 30 minutes but as per do nothing with the ball other than lump it. Vardy and Mahrez basically left in the summer and Fuchs and Huth... Whatever drugs they were on last season they better start taking them again. Too many players not giving a f*** meaning Claudio will lose his job. Vardy should be put in the u23's.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Overall we looked ok, the defense have let the team down, really poor goals

dylanlegend Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Getting boring now. If Ranieri stays we will go down, he should have gone months ago
thegaffa Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Better performance but Huth that was poor and I blame drinkwater as he was marking him prior to that and let him go. fuchs has been unusually poor for the last few months. we have worked harder at closing down from the front today than the majority of the season

Carry this on, we can stay up. I stress that in a relegation battle we need POINTS. Not 'improved' performances. So we improved and didn't concede in the first 40 mins, who gives a fvck... we haven't created anything and we're at home.
