Kasper interview on sky

Quite possibly. Everyone keeps going on about unrest as being Ranieri vs the squad, but listening to Kasper I wonder if instead there's a rift between the players themselves.

All that fuss over Vardy and Mahrez ,last summer, certainly

didn't strengthen the team spirit. And the fact, that those

two, who are getting more money than their teammates, are

not exactly in top-form this season, certainly doesn't help either.

Add to that, that you had already at the very beginning of this

season several frustrated players in the team - some because

they didn't get new, improved contracts (Huth, Ulloa, Okazaki),

others because they weren't allowed to leave (Schlupp, Mahrez,

Ulloa) - and you have enough ingredients together to blew a

team apart.

He had the chance to defend Ranieri but seemed to skirt the questions about the manager... it pretty much confirmed things in my mind. Kasper is probably more a leader in the dressing room than Ranieri at the minute

Well he's not going to defend someone who's just given him a bollocking is he.

Respect to Kasper for this, I wish he was our captain. I guess there's a leadership vacuum and he's stepped into it. Sick of Ranieri skirting around issues, I wonder how much he actually says of value behind the scenes. I used to think the media face of him was just that, but I can't actually imagine him having a real talk with anyone.

Personally I don't think Ranieri has it in him... that's part of the problem

I agree now more than ever. I don't think he's able to keep up with the Prem League's changing pace. Last season and this season are two completely different monsters.

Kasper watching you in that interview my heart is bleeding for you.  As a fan I am close to tears.

we now need divine intervention if we are to finish this season with any respect, honor and dignity.

if the gods are listening please have mercy on us!

Kasper is in an impossible position... You can see he's desperate to play some actual football but the inability infront of him results in him having to go long. He must be so frustrated, and I have no doubt he makes sure all the players know it. Always alot of time for him, he should be captain

I thought he meant the manager, now I am thinking that it could mean the structure of the club for example the DOF/ data analysts/ recruitment/ sports science guys we have or haven't got.

just a thought.

Very interesting this. You can say Kasper is holding back on telling whats going on behind the scenes

Good lad, future Leicester captain. Hopefully he stays no matter how this season ends. I wish the rest of them lot had this kind of mindset

Yeah cause no one has ever came out and backed their manager after receiving a bollocking before. I'm surprised anyone actually ever speaks highly of Fergie lol

" from top to bottom of this club we need to stand up and be counted"

manager needs to up his game too then?

I think Claudio is just too passive. Was fine when they were winning, but now many players have grown tired of it. They are probably wanting a bollocking, just to know that the manager is there and right behind them. Don't forget these players had a number of seasons with Pearson shouting at them, so imagine going into the dressing room after another loss, and Claudio isn't really reacting much.. "Noo, We tried"..

Claudio talks about fighting, but is he showing enough passion and fight in the dressing room or training?

The players of course should be professional enough and be able to still do their jobs, but I am sure having such a passive manager is not helping right now, especially when there is such a flat atmosphere within the team. They need a fire starting under them!

I would agree with your captaincy point. I'd give it him tomorrow morning.

Well Morgan shouldn`t even be on the bench at the moment, so we should certainly be looking for a new captain.

so who allowed Kasper to speak to the media? Did Claudio know?

The interviewer grabbed Ranieri afterwards, it didnt look like it was planned from his reaction in my opinion

Kasper should be the captain ahead of Morgan. And Morgan is making way too many mistakes and needs a rest to recharge himself.

I do have doubts about Kasper though. I reckon his old man is leaking info about dressing room stuff.
