MPH Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 We won't sell 15 players at the end of the season besides, if they have been so crap for us this season, what makes you think other teams would want them? scout " yes boss. 5th time I have watched him this season. He's been garbage every time.." manager. " sounds great! Get him in!"
yorkie1999 Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Doesn't need any mass clear out, needs a manager who believes in playing football, not anti football as this twat believes in. Ok he's good in front of the cameras but that's about it. Football is about goals and winning, especially in this country, this guy thinks it's better not to lose than to win. Last season we had a great start and then we changed into a team that sat back soaking up pressure and quick counters, which is alright when the other teams need to win to catch you up this season they didn't , it's a level playing field. Totally wrong philosophy from the start and the hole just keeps getting bigger and bigger. If we could only score a few goals things would change very quickly, but we can't because we're still stuck with the idea of soaking up pressure that is being instilled into the players heads. Mahrez, a fvckin defender, what twat decided to include defensive duties into his game, he's an out and out trickster who come the end of a game must be absolutely knackered having to track back all the time.
BenTheFox Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 If we went down I think the starting 11 could look something like this in the championship: Zieler Simpson, Amartey, Benny, Fuchs Albrighton, James, King, Lawrence Kaputska Ulloa/New Striker Not a bad start. A few quality players in after hopefully getting decent fees for Mahrez, Slimani, Drinkwater, Gray, Schmeichel etc.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Albrighton - £4m? Who in their right mind would even pay 400k?

Chilwell could have gone in the summer and I don't see that changing. Kaspar could command a similar wage at a decent level Premier League club, Gray has loads of potential is English and I could see several sides taking him. Ndidi looks very promising and again I can see sides taking him. With the exception of Kasper I can't imagine any are on big wages in terms of the Premier League.

As what always happens in these situations, clubs will cherry pick the players worth having like Schmeichel, Gray, Ndidi, Chilwell, etc and leave us with the overpaid garbage. Even players like Drinkwater, Vardy, etc will be wanted at other PL clubs but they won't want to match the wages so we'll have to pay them a "loyalty bonus" to get them to leave.

Even if this happens, I can foresee a mass clear out: Ranieri - sacked Schmeichel - £12m to Man City Zieler - £1m to a club in Germany Huth - £3m return to a club in Germany Fuchs - £2m move to club in the US Wasilewski - released Benny - £3m to a club in Italy King - £2.5m to Derby Mendy - £8m return to a club in France Drinkwater - £9.5m to West Brom Albrighton - £4m to Stoke Mahrez - £20m to Monaco Okazaki - £5m to a club in China (paying way over the odds!) Slimani - £30m to a club in China (paying way over the odds!) Vardy - £12m to Everton or a promoted Newcastle Ulloa - £7m to Burnley Musa - £10m to a club in Russia That's around £130m to spend on replacements. Only first teamers to remain - Simpson, Morgan, Chilwell, Ndidi, Gray, Amartey Only first team pl Steve mclaren currently heard saying what I need is a timid back passing centre mid to ghost around the pitch
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 I had a mass clearout this morning, last night's bloody madras!
Spicer Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Even if we stay up i don't think there will be a mass clear out. Who'd want most of the crap? Apart from Mahrez and Kasper I don't see it.
coolhandfox Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Let be honest the club has operated awfully in the last two windows, I have no confidence in the clubs transfer policy.
Raw Dykes Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 We desperately need a complete overhaul of the squad, but we won't be able to do it. They're nearly all on far and away more than they're worth, and even if a club did want to match their wages, they won't offer what the club thinks they're worth. Players like Vardy and Mahrez could have fetched £30m-£40m last summer. Who in their right mind would pay anything like that after this season? The few that we might want to hang on to (Kasper, Ndidi, Gray, Chilwell?) will be the only ones to attract serious interest, and they won't want to hang around. Who can blame them? We'll probably be stuck with a lot of these cvnts for the next 3 years. They'll still be getting their fat cheques each week, so why should they care what division the club is in? I want Ranieri and Rudkin out the door asap, but can't see it happening any time soon. Worst season ever.
mozartfox Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Players are like shares, their values go up when things are going well, and sink when things are going badly. Some of the noisy agents that were very active last summer will be very quiet this year. Shifting some of the dross we have on LTC's is going to be a challenge for any new DoF that comes in. We will be stuck with most of this squad which financially is going to drain us . There will be limited cherry-picking but our tree will remain full.

I'm not gonna say where there goin as that's ridiculous but at least half the squad need to be axed. Huth, wasilewski, Fuchs, mendy, king, albrighton, musa, Okazaki, Ulloa - just a few i would clear out I love the way everyone says we need a clear out and it's all the players fault, yet these players won us the PL title last season. The same people that think Ranieri should stay as he won us the PL title last season!?

AmarteyAndChill Posted 19 February 2017 Posted 19 February 2017 Kasper, Mahrez, Slimani, Drinkwater, Fuchs, Gray, Wasalewski will all leave whether that be retiring or moving on. In the summer we will need to look for a RB,CB,CM,RW,ST in the summer.

What about Hoffenheim signing Kramaric or us bringing in Huth from Stoke. The issue for us may be what clubs are willing to pay. Every man has his price!

It involves a midfielder immediately passing to a cumbersome centre half, who in turn plays an immediate pass to the keeper, regardless of where the opposition are on the pitch!
