Dion Dublin got it right in the Premier League Show this week.

He isnt either.

Can you imagine if Shakey walked, Keown would be all like "what a pussy, no ambition with English coaches these days"

Hit the nail on the head. When we appoint a forigner in the summer, Keown will be one of those harping on about young ambitious English managers not getting a chance to prove themselves.

What a moron

Should have left all this in the shite pundits thread rather than giving him his own as he's  probably enjoying it after searching for how many waves he's made this week.

Posted

Really struggled to try to work out what his problem was. Why wouldn't Shakey want the job? Why would anyone blame him if he did? Why would anyone care if any interim manager did or didn't want the job?

He must have a chip on his shoulder or something.

Sounds to me like he's bought into Shakey being a snake, undermining Raneiri etc.

Its a bit weird when pundits need to have something to say and make such strong statements based on limited knowledge and understanding of a situation.

Appointing explayers as sporting commentators and assuming they'll be measured and politically savvy is like appointing children to design marketing targeted at other kids or Gazza as head of academy alcohol awareness.

I mentioned it in the other thread. This guy was pushing for Mickey Adams job when he was here and that's why he was binned off. For him to come out and say what he's said about Shakey is laughable! Can't stand the bloke! B squad player riding Tony Adams coat tales picking up £250 a week from MOTD to talk absolute bollocks

I'm pretty sure that Martin would eat his own soiled underpants to get Gary's job on MOTD.

I think you'll find he would eat Gary Linekers soiled underpants to get the motd job.

BELLEND!!!!

I'm finding certain aspects of this forum quite educational recently.

Firstly, there was 'take your face for a shit', posted last week, and today 'bum dust'

Amazing stuff...

You have to admit he is a ****ing wet wipe though Col. Come on....

It highlights for me just how detached pundits are from the big 4-6 clubs in England. I cant imagine anyone in that elite taking similar stick like us. Just look at Chelsea after Mourinho went, Hazard for example was as brand new player. CR had his flaws this season and that wasnt Shakeys doing?

Didn't they basically go on strike at Newcastle last season? Admittedly it was "lick your lip" John Carver at the helm, but all the same, went on strike on the pitch to oust the manager. Williamson feigning injury to get taken off ffs. Am sure this kind of thing happens all the time, to the Vader best of managers.ala Jose after coincidentally winning the premier. Wasn't former England captain John Terry one of the ring leaders?

1.)He wasn't Ranieri's man
2.)Ranieri was sacked, not him.
3.)Personal ambition is a crime now?
4.)Don't complain about English managers not getting a chance and then moan when one actually wants a job.
5.)It doesn't sit well with me that a chimp-faced buffoon goes into telly jobs and hides behind spunkflute opinions instead of going into management where he'll be found out as 2nd rate.

Bizarre. What frustrates me most with the football TV media is that they mostly all stick up for each other, no one is ever really pulled up and asked why do you think that or challenged on it. They just say ok and then move on. Or maybe it's that they all seem to have the same opinion.

I'm sure I've seen football shows in places like Spain etc where it just seems.like four guys arguing, at least that is a bit more honest.

??? the last point a very good one, hardly one of the pundits have even been in any managerial position at a club. The two I can think of currently, Alan Shearer and Gary Neville were hardly big successes were they? Gary Neville slating a manager who presided over a 7-0 loss? Saying he should be so ashamed to look at himself in the mirror after a performance like that, only to go to Spain, hardly win a point, never mind a game, and lose 7-0. How he has the front to come back to sky as a pundit beggars belief

Perhaps, like us, he simply doesn't have very fond memories of his time here.

This. One of the many players that were part of the 2004-2008 scrapheap we had here.

That is outstanding, since Shakespeare took over the literary genius of FT has really come on.

What the simian featured cum dumpster fails to understand is Ranieri was brought in last summer to work with Shakey and Walsh.

It was Shakey and Pearson's blueprint that Ranieri refined expertly last season and undid this season. Shakespeare has given so much to this club and if he can get the best out of these players, players that he has coached for years, why the fvck would we look anywhere else?

Fvck off back to the primordial ooze you crawled out of, you were a disgrace when you pulled on the royal blue and you're a disgrace now.

Anyone who used to stand in the kop at filbo will remember a couple of chants aimed at him.

"Keown is an ugly cnut"

And my favourite.

"Martin Keown's got a fuching monkeys head, a fuching monkeys head, a fuching monkeys head".

I remember he gave an interview and he said filbert street was the most intimidating ground he played at or words to that exstent. I always thought it was a bit out of order to hound a bloke to those lengths because of his appearance now I don't think we were not harsh enough.

I think in a saturated and competitive industry, pundits are starting to learn the need to be more opinionated and controversial. It's good in some ways but also means you get complete bullshite like this. I was cringing listening to him. How he's a pundit I'll never know. Down right thick.
