GaelicFox Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 said on Talksport this morning that Gray's agent has indecated to the club that a new contract of £60k a week is needed for him to stay , it said that interested clubs (Liverpool, Everton and West Ham ) have all been notified of a 13m release clause the more he plays the better he looks club need to sort his contract situation and quickly NDIDI's agent will be the next man knocking on the Rudkins door !
VLC86 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 If it means keeping one of Englands brightest talents then get it done. If Ndidi isn't on anywhere near this I would give it him tomorrow, have we ever had such a promising 20 year old at the club? He's already a beast and has everything he needs to become a very special player.
Lovejoy Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Talksh1t3 you mean. I think it was already clarified that there is no such clause in Gray's current deal.
joachim1965 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Why would he have a release clause, he came from Birmingham ffs......absolute joke if true.
harpendenfox Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 There isn't a release clause in Gray's contract. Gray needs to be released from his agent, who does him no favours.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 This is probably all bollox anyway. If it isn't, players holding clubs 'to ransom' always leaves a bad taste imo. Gray isn't the finished product. He's young, eager and has big potential. But he ain't there yet. He'd be wise to bide his time, have some bloody patience and become a first team regular before he gets all Billy big uns. Maybe it's an age thing. The kids these days seem to be about get everything you can as soon as you can. Personally, I think it's better to take your time, build yourself up and go for the bigger dollar when it's the right time to do so. Alas, I don't think it's seen like that these days.
st albans fox Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 I would be seriously concerned about giving 20 year olds 60k per week. Problem is that if we don't, someone else will - and more! it's a huge problem and hopefully no release clauses exist as per tanners comments
AKCJ Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 I'll be amazed if anyone pays even close to 60k a week for a winger that, while he does look the dogs bollocks, doesn't actually provide enough goals or assists.
joachim1965 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 When he signed a new three year deal with Brum there was a release clause of 3.7m put in on the players insistance. We activated this when we signed him so it would be highly unlikely that we would have a 13m release clause put in. Smells of agent talking bollox, and as has been said , he needs to hold down a regular first team place before demanding big bucks.
Chico1958 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Time to tie up all the kids Shakespeare wants As for the rest ................ Well that's his shout But the only one I wanted to stay at the end of last season went If Ndidi went I would be gutted, he should be top of Shakespeares list
AmarteyAndChill Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 West Ham won't pay him 60k a week, they they say they are big club yet look for cheap loans etc in the market. Bid £4m for Defoe in January, joke club.

mozartfox Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 If Turdkin agreed to such a Clause, then that really is a major fook-up.. But this is Talkshite, so we can probably dismiss this as grade A Bull Manure.
StriderHiryu Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Would be worried giving him a contract like that given there are already rumours of him being rather egotistical. The potential is there for all to see but he's not a first team regular yet. Buckle down and take your opportunities kid and then we'll talk! I think Grey could learn a lot from Ndidi, whose attitude is first class. In the post match yesterday, Shakespeare said that Ndidi is always 20 minutes early to every team meeting and training session. He strikes me as humble despite being entitled to make more of his great form.

foxinsocks Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Yes but release clause must go or be 50m.... we can as normal agree to sell for less but we cant rely on plsyers who can be pucked off... if he wants to be central to our future he has to stop havibg a tekease clause to destabilise things
trabuch Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 I found this leaked footage from the original negotiations.
desertfox2 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 If the release clause is there then Rudkin should be sacked. That's not me jumping on the bandwagon. We signed him when we were flying as a club. All the risk is on us as we have to play him before he is the complete player he may become. What's the reward if he leaves us for 13m it just doesn't make sense.
Edingleyfox Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 I think he wants more starts - if he plays as he has done I'm sure he will get the money he wants and stay a while longer.I am sure an article in the Mercury said there was no release clause.Still think Albrighton is a better crosser of the ball but I can see Gray taking over from Mahrez if he leaves as the flair player. Ndidi is a superb find really classy I would rate him up there with Kante and would not sell at any price
sdb Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 Wish I could demand £60k a week after a good day at the office.
maddog Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 So he has a few good games and then demands that much!?! His agent is clearly a **** and I would say Gray might be too for hiring such an agent. Sell him in summer if a decent offer comes in I just think he's a bad apple in the group.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 If he wants 60k then his release clause should be £70m
joachim1965 Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 I don't think he's a bad apple in the group, I just think he is starting to expect too much too soon, but that is probably down to a greedy agent getting in his ear. He could do no worse than take a leaf out of Bennys book and be a bit more patient. His 60-100k will come but not yet.
m4DD0gg Posted 2 April 2017 Posted 2 April 2017 According to the font of knowledge that is the Mockery there is no release clause.
