For the record mate, I like him. As you said, a good player, good striker, decent strike rate and can give us something different, as seen tonight. I just hope we can keep him happy. He's a good asset to the squad. It's not my money!

I can guarantee you he won't be happy being in the bench. No player is happy being in the bench, and he cost 35M and was a constant starter in Sporting so he won't be happy if kept on the bench, that is for sure. But we will see, the important thing is that Leicester is winning and is getting higher in the table, playing way better.

What a difference a month makes. From gloom to joy and belief. Grinding out a result tonight and releasing a lot of pressure. A draw on Saturday and bring on the Spaniards.... Up the City

Played poor tbf, But still win so good signs, that playing poor and wimning, having said that, we won't get luck like that against a good teamĀ

Our passing was sublime at times though - 78% pass completion rate and just shy of 400 passes - some quality stuff and a deserved result in the end.

Poor old Sunderland, October - FebĀ 2014 and those were the type of games we were losing, we know how frustrating it is being the better team for most of the match and losing.

Ā

Marc Albrighton, won the game.

Shakespeare, won the game.Ā

Ā

Could not help but feel smug for Gray. I'm glad he started over Albrighton, but equally glad he was shown there needs to be another side to his game other than glory.Ā

I'd say back to the bench for Gray, but we need to rest Albrighton for Athletico along with Drinkwater, Vardy, Mahrez, Okazaki, Fuchs and possibly Huth.Ā

Ā

36 points and 10th, amazing stuff.Ā

Farewell bottom half of the table, I can't say it's been enjoyable down there, hopefully it'll be a long time before we're reacquainted. Just Twatford and pesky Pulis'sĀ West Brom to catch and my preseason prediction will be spot-on(ish). There's a big six, then Everton and if we'd been around 8th earlier in the season, a good run now and anything could happen. That's where I see us, if we can stayĀ ahead of the Southampton's and West Ham's we're more than capable of being top 8. To do so after so many wasted match days and stupid results would be one hell of an achievement, not so much the great escape but the blinking impressive recovery.

Up to tenth.

So we've played 30, won 106, drew 1437 and lost 47 with a goal difference of -1036?Ā

You do realise that Sunderland are fighting for their lives. They may not be very good but they gave us a game and a month ago we were looking like joining them. A little perspective required.

Easy Tiger it was a tongue in cheek comment !!

3 in 3 for Vardy- 8 games left this season. He has left it late, but still enough time to equal his own consecutive goals record.

I think he just needs another 3 to be our all time prem goal scorer. Ā Muzzy and Hesk tied on 33.

Pretty sure he is well past Muzzy and Heskey, he's on about 40 PL goals now.

Apologies if this comes across as downbeat (I'm delighted) but did anyone else notice Slimani looking less than excited at the goals? Doesn't look a happy chap.
