lnkstern Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 A not-important bit of information: I love it that Sunderland have a defensive midfielder named Denayer!
fazzyfox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Moyes has obviously modelled this Sunderland side on himself ......Ugly

I think the lads felt the pressure today. Of all our games recently, this was actually the most important and we knew that winning it basically keeps us safe.

In hindsight, a few changes might have helped but we got through it and I expect a few changes for Everton

Again he was purchased for the wrong role. He is a quality striker that can strike for fun in a team that plays to his style but Leicester isn't the right team for him, at least not at the moment.

Chill, eagle, we are both team slimani, I was just joking, I watched him score for my national team in the world cup
surrifox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Credit to Sunderland for making it tough for 60odd minutes . Moyes (manager of some of the biggest sides in the league) does nothing to force home their advantage , Shakey 6 games into his first managerial role makes exactly the right tactical and personnel changes at the right time - outstanding

Aus Fox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 3 in 3 for Vardy- 8 games left this season. He has left it late, but still enough time to equal his own consecutive goals record.
ALC Fox Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Gray gets into the side and starts 2 games in 4 days after being a bit-part player since he joined over a year ago. It's not surprising that he's inconsistent. He was magnificent against a much better side on Saturday. Consistency will come with a longer run in the team.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 How did Albrighton cost us nothing? Changed the game completely when he came on. Absolute legend.

He had four key passes in 30 minutes of play. Nearly led the entire team in key passes and he wasn't even taking corners or free kicks.

As you said, a good player, good striker, decent strike rate and can give us something different, as seen tonight. I just hope we can keep him happy. He's a good asset to the squad. It's not my money!

Funny, Villa let him go and now look where they are and where he is and what he achieved last season brilliant
Blue ROI Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Playing a better team than Sunderland tonight we could have been behind but we were a different team in the last 30. Might have been Albrighton's best game for us. Talk of Ndidi and Mahrez going but Marc is going to be getting a bit of attention should he keep that level of performance up. Glad Slimani got a goal. His touch is lacking a bit but he's a decent worker and though hes carrying the weight of his transfer fee on his shoulders he hasn't been that bad a signing for us. Felt a bit sorry for Sunderland but that's sport for ya. A bit shocked we're in the top half after all the drama in 2017. Nice one Shakey. He's put the freshness back!
Webbo Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 I was actually quite impressed by Slimani tonight. Not just his goal but his hold up play and a bit more effort. I don't think he suits our style to start but as a sub to change the game he's ideal.
Milo Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 We looked a bit leggy/slugish for the first half, and I was a little concerned. Against a decent team we would have been behind. Didn't relax until Vardy's goal...and then thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the match
