In the first few home games uefa had a few thousand tickets for sponsors and hobnobing etc but didnt yse them all and do returned them 4 or 5 days before  the match.... yhus the club expectedly had tickets to sell. Check twice a day in the run up....

I'm not that sure we'll have the same volume of STH renewals, it was something like 98.7% this year, but I would imagine without the lure of Champions League football this will drop back down to around 92%. So plenty for Gold members to get stuck into.

I'm silver and whilst I'm obviously disappointed I accept I'm on a lower priority than others and don't consider it unfair ST holders and Gold have first option. I bought the 3 game package and a ticket for Sevilla but still don't think that increases my entitlement. My silver membership gave me an advantage to get those tickets and also for any other home games. This game like the Everton game is unprescedented and is highly unlikely to occur again.

If we'd been on a decent run of form when the tickets for Sevilla went on sale I suspect this scenario would've occurred then. I bought mine the day they went on sale to silver and there were absolutely loads available, then suddenly after the away game everyone was snapping them up.

 

The problem with there not being enough tickets to be available to silver is due to the UEFA allocation and how many may have 'disappeared'. No change to the priority/membership scheme would erradicate that issue.

Membership is bullshit anyway. My Uncle has been ST for 40+ years, but can't even get me the occasional ticket for the games I can travel for. Used to be able to get at least 3 for me amd my mates for a prem game at Old Filbo. They should put ticket prices up by a fiver instead of this priority bullshit

We've been a bigger prospect and are still continuing to get bigger since Filbert Street.

 

The memberships schemes are a good idea. People earn priority through going to games(aways) are you telling me they should give up their priority just because you and others say so?

For all those claiming membership is a scam/unfair etc, I take it you have taken the time to let the club know your thoughts prior to today, or alternatively taken the opportunity to put yourself forwards for the monthly fan forums to give your feedback? If you continue to purchase memberships and never give any feedback how are the club meant to know there's an issue?

This is the sole reason i will never give my season tickets up , who ever thought we would win the league or even get this far in the champs league until we get a stadium expansion a lot of ''fans'' will be disappointed they cant get tickets to these massive games im not even rubbing it in im just grateful see ya in Madrid guys !!

I hope people suggesting that those who got 3-game packages in the Champions League should have gotten priority because they aren't just in it for the "glamour" also went to Boro away, So'ton away and the various other games which have made Silver and beyond.

So glad I have 4 season tickets was a a sound investment to increase my allocation from 2 to 4 seats when pearson returned .... 

 

I think it's rough there wasn't even 100 or 200 made available for silver ! 

 

But the club can only please so many people 

 

the tigers should hire a big screen they would fill a stand for the game !!!

Find it mad how many people moan about what is, on the whole, a pretty fair and reasonable system. I don't doubt it could be improved but fvck me, some of the moaning is so tiresome.

 

I didn't buy a membership because I didn't feel it was worth it for me. I don't stand a chance of getting a ticket to any big games but I knew the deal so I just have to suck it up. I'm just glad I got to see us against Sevilla because loads of people ahead of me (some of whom are no doubt moaning now) didn't bother to get tickets because we were playing shite and it ended up going to general.

The only way they could have made it fairer is if they sold the tickets based on how many champs league games you've been to. I bet some season ticket holders and gold members haven't been to any champs league games until the Sevilla game. I remember many saying it was too expensive, which it is to be fair, especially if you've forked out a lot of money for your season ticket. But it is a shame that potentially, some fans who have been to every champs league game this season won't be able to get a ticket for Madrid. I'm happy though as I am fortunate enough to have a ticket. Another annoying thing is when people will be selling tickets for a profit.

Yeah **** giving tickets to the members, put the ticket prices up so 

rich occasional visitors get them instead, that's much fairer.

 

I do feel the pain of silver members who have missed out.

Last season I was a silver member and felt gutted missing

out on the big games at the end of the season so this season

I upgraded to gold and I'm glad I did.

Hopefuly many of the UEFA / corporate tickets will come back,

it really is scandal of the modern game where loyal fans miss out

to people who probably couldn't care less.
