If we can have say 9 players performing at the very top of their respective games, we can win.. Anything less than this and they will go through.

Well, yeah. You just proved my point again. The comparison is beyond being far-fetched.

Just saying you can't deny that he has the best goal per minutes. You always become nervous when someone shows you stats, but stats while not being everything in football, play a major key in evaluation of a player ability and value to team.

En route to take daughter shopping   :(

Then en route to big armchair and beer   :scarf::beer:

Then en route to bed with big smile and dreams of Cardiff        :fc:

Ps: It's easy to dream of Cardiff when you live here

Currently living in Cardiff too, would be just unbelievable if we could get there. Can't see it myself!

I am so nervous and excited.  I've stopped working for the rest of the day despite having things I need to finish before going on holiday tonight.  Sorry boss, Leicester in the QFs of the is more important than writing my appraisal.

I would love to see the equivalent of Vardy's house party when Chelsea drew with Spurs, but with Parker, Marshall, Izzet, Heskey etc etc all round Walshy's house, only if we win though. If not keep the noise down lads.

As long as the cheque book hasn't been out like it was 20 years ago, and the referee hasn't collected any additional notes, we stand every chance of making it through imo.

Edit: And that's 6000 posts from me!  It is written... lol We got this won.

Nobody denies that, not even I do. What I am denying is the notion that he's our "best" striker at the moment, when we've got two other in that department already out of the equation due to a lack of playing time (Ulloa) & positioning/duties on the pitch (Okazaki).

They are the ones he can be compared to (to an extent), and nobody else. But as of right now, not really a contest, is it?

The only one that can live up to the "striker" tag is Jamie Vardy with mostly similar stats (and he's had a horrible first half of the season as a starter, just like everybody else).

He has been a part-timer yet he has the best goal per minute in the squad.

Obviously strikers in their true form are measured by their goals scored, that's a given. But don't start with comparing him to all other players in our squad, because that'd be quite frankly ridiculous!

Stats aren't everything. Okazaki looks poor on paper (for a "striker"), yet he's been quintessential linking up our midfield to Jamie Vardy. That's what I'm talking about. Pure stat-talk is rubbish!

So, that's it from me - don't want to taint this thread with more Slimani talk....
