They face quite a big re-building job and he can't keep on staying forever. He should've finished when he last won a cup imo, as he's quite regularly getting criticised for this and that etc.

And then they'll be still five points ahead of us, and that's only if we win tomorrow. I don't feel like begrudging them respect.

I don’t think Burnley will finish 4th but good luck to them!

I don’t think they’ll do it and I actually think we’ll finish above them but let’s not knock them yet 3

Anyone of our fans who goes out of their way to have a dig really is a confusing, churlish person. Of all the fans in the world we should understand and rejoice a smaller team doing well. We look so pathetic and bitter to any outsider reading this. How angry did we all get with people making similar comments about us when we won the league? If you can't have a wry smile at Burnley being 4th in the league you might as well stop watching football at all. And before you start, no this doesn't mean I am a plastic or not a proper fan because I can enjoy other footballing stories, it just means I'm not a douche. I hope we finish above them but if they finish 2nd I would be more than happy with that. X 5

Getting angsty because Burnley are now daring to make the news and ruin our beautiful story. I hope they finish 4th as it's further proof that football might be changing and fair play to them. How they are doing it with that squad is extraordinary, they've spent about 30 pence and are absolute dog mess on paper. However, Dyche created a system and team spirit that is worth more than any individual talent. They lose Michael Keane and Andre Gray and you'd expect relegation but they are now stronger. They lose Robbie Brady to injury and they win the next two games. Ok it's low scoring and often defensive football but they are a handy team and I'm massively respectful of what they are doing. Dyche is a bell end but he's working wonders. 8

He's doing an incredible job, you could see why they are doing well against us, so bloody awkward to play against. Great team ethic and workrate, with a smattering of skill thrown in.

Jimothy Posted 13 December 2017 Posted 13 December 2017 I'm happy for Burnley and they should be getting praise for being comfortably in the top half, but as I said earlier they're only 4th atm due the scheduling of their game. The nature of that part of the league is that those around then will probably win tonight, especially with them playing Brighton, West Ham and West Brom, and they'll drop out the top 4. So all this media hype about them being in a champions league spot, they aren't really. Well they are, but they aren't. They've still done brilliantly though, and should have been getting this much praise before they snuck into the top 4 by playing an extra game. The big story from last night is really Palace pulling themselves out the bottom three, and they'll probably stay there given their rivals will probably lose.
