And how were we supposed to do that when we got robbed by an abysmal refereeing decision? We did well first leg, nullified them and lost by a farce.

We didn't nullify them.

They only tried to keep a clean sheet after scoring.

Why didn't he shoot? Nothing to lose there, final seconds of the half, you never know. I think we've got to shoot at almost every half decent opportunity now, we aren't going to play it around them.

So your answer is just to accept defeat and learn some lessons then?

I agree atletico's lineup is perfect.

That's exactly why it's a waste of time playing okazaki in the middle with albrighton on the wing.

It's exactly why we need a big man to head the crosses, or alternatively a young flair player to run at them and open up space.

Nope.

We tried playing Mahrez in Atletico....how did that work out?

Flair is not the answer against Atletico.

Shows how average Atletico have been.

If they were at their best, we would probably have 60%+

I swear you just come on here for a row

Not to lose the first leg 1-0 to the best all round side in Europe?

Atletico's lineup tonight is simply perfect.

4 Physically strong defenders.

3 holding mids and a center half in midfield.

1 false 9 and 1 winger up top.

We can learn a lot from tonight. The likes of Mahrez either needs to be played in Okazaki's position, or dropped.

(Not a bash on his performance).

Notice how Atletico carry no-one when defending.

So you want to play a vortex formation with a time machine in the middle?
