ozleicester Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 That was a scary 2 minutes... its going to be tough if we dont score soon
MC Prussian Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 It's like watching a game of football - with Atlético Madrid rules. They're defending from the front in best textbook-style.

trabuch Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 They are a very good team. If they do manage to knock us out I hope they win it.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 These 120 odd minutes begs the question as to how Sevilla are above Atleti in the league? Sevilla are not even on par with them!

Two guys on the other side did nothing to stop the scorer and you're hanging the winger out to dry? Fvck that. Winger or not he needed to close him down he had far too much time to pick out the cross
EastAnglianFox Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Absolutely no disgrace in this, how good are this Madrid team.
Tuna Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Never mind scoring before half time, will we touch the ball again before half time?
MPH Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Need to move Matty Elliot and Steve Walsh up front and use them as a battering ram!

Atletico's lineup tonight is simply perfect. 4 Physically strong defenders. 3 holding mids and a center half in midfield. 1 false 9 and 1 winger up top. We can learn a lot from tonight. The likes of Mahrez either needs to be played in Okazaki's position, or dropped. (Not a bash on his performance). Notice how Atletico carry no-one when defending.
Monsell1976 Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Get Okazaki off for Leo, at least he can stand up, win headers, keep the ball, and at least give vardy something
Jimothy Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Don't care how good people say this Atletico team are, one of them just got skinned by Wes Morgan
Corky Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 They killed the atmosphere early on, they've played it expertly.

So your answer is just to accept defeat and learn some lessons then? I agree atletico's lineup is perfect. That's exactly why it's a waste of time playing okazaki in the middle with albrighton on the wing. It's exactly why we need a big man to head the crosses, or alternatively a young flair player to run at them and open up space.
