They've just sign Gerard from Everton.

Hopefully that is to clean Riyads boots as that is all he would be fit for compared to Riyad.

If Riyad was to leave to go to Barca that would make it slightly more acceptable - still be absolutely gutted but watching him for one of the top club sides in the world not so bad!

So Barcelona would have Messi who will play almost every game & Both Riyad and Delafaueo as replacements? No chance. Barca won't be signing Mahrez.

Maybe they saw the way Real was able to rotate their squad last year and feel they need to be able to do similar a bit more. Their big 3 played a lot of games last year.

Not a chance they are going to pay £35m + for a player who's going to play a handful of games consdering they've already bought a player who plays RW for £10m. Messi pretty much runs barca, he will play whenever he's fit.

They may have bought GD for £10 on the thinking they can sell him on for £15 in this market ?

Ndidi has probably got more all-round to his game, but Kante is an absolute freak midfielder. Best tackler on the planet and turns defence into attack like nobody.

Arsenal being linked with a 125 million bid for the Monaco wonder kid on top of the Lacazette money.

Not sure they are going to be paying 50 million for Riyad if they have just spunked this amount of dosh.

Just paper talk though ... probably Arsenal have made a 12.5 million bid for him knowing Wenger.

Arsenal know they won't get mbappe. They can bid what they like. It's just for the board to show the fans their intent. (Which is vacuous). Arsene will be livid that he has had to pay 50m for lacazette.

Amazes me Monaco would turn down anything like the figures mooted.

What if he gets crocked? He struggles next year? His value will completely plummet. I'd be snapping team's hands off for some of the figures quoted.

Real Madrid and Man U haven't been able to get Mbappe and you think top6 Arsenal will get him?

or he stays injury-free, scores a shitload in the French league and Champions League and his value goes up even more.

More than £125m? Scoring goals in the French League. Doubt it. Even with the inflated prices.

As a buying club, there are plenty of extremely talented kids at a fraction of that price who have proven they can do it? Mbappe is clearly a talent but economically, the risk outweighs the reward

I struggle to comprehend how Monaco maintain their high profile status. Have to continually be resigned to being a 'selling' club as their gate income can never come close to covering even a decent fraction of their outgoings ! They must sail very close to the wind in FFP terms!

Exactly, which is why I don't understand how they can turn their noses up at the figures being quoted. Mind you, maybe they're waiting until next year to spread it in terms of FFP?

It a TEAM game ...   the clues in the title ...   it was a team playing brilliantly together that won us the prem.

It was... but the brilliance of Kante allowed our team to play the way we did.

Nope ..   I still maintain it was the team...    Kante was HUGE ...    But ...Without Vardy or Mahrez I don't think we would have done it ...    When Huth arrived we became noticeably better and without the Huth/Morgan alliance I don't think we would have done it ...   Similarly DD ...    And don't get me started on how totally underrated Albrighton and Shinji were ...    And how many points was Kasper worth !!! .....       The sum of the parts, all the parts, was greater than the parts themselves and became an extraordinary team ...     And THATS why we achieved what we did.      Imo.

Arsenal mania says some bloke has concrete evidence that the transfer to Arsenal will be confirmed this week.

One punter saying he won't cost much, won't mind being on the bench and will not ask for much in wages .

Where do they get this bollocks from ?

Translation of link, lover the "ripped off" statement:

CALZOMERCATO ARSENAL MAHREZ / Riyad Mahrez is a new Arsenal player. According to Calciomercato.it editions, Arsene Wenger has ripped off Leicester's
ok and Franco-Algerian fan-maker, among the protagonists of the Premier's historic victory in 2016. The transfer will soon be announced.

Well 'if' it transpires we have been 'ripped off', then our DoF'ups' needs to fall on his sword. I suspect this is just BS.
