I love all the comments about how we should bid. If the bugger doesn't want to come, he doesn't want to come.

You're most likely right and maybe he has been sounded out, but we don't know that.  If we don't make a bid we haven't even tried.

If plan B is Deeney, we must go all out for plan A.

Also, with the way transfers are going, we might see journeyman players going for 40mn in a couple of years.

Can I recommend this thread is locked because we're not signing him unless something drastic changes.

On that basis, there would only be a couple of threads open

^ This.

We are no longer champions of England and we won't be playing in Europe this coming season. Some of the the fantasy speculation on FT regarding names of potential signings is beyond belief. Sigurdsson, Silva, Ziyech to name but a few.

That would be good for the overall health of the forum and it's members in my opinion.

Any news on Iheanacho mate?

Didn't you say we are keeping Ulloa & if so surely we wouldn't need Deeney? (apologies if I'm getting you mixed up with other ITK's)

Yep Ulloa is staying as far as I know, more likely Slim will go if we get Iheanacho and Deeney, but I doubt we'll get both.

Slimani relates to the clause where we have to pay for so many appearences so we may loan to balance the books a little.

Nice.

Personally I think Vardy, Iheanacho, Okazaki, Ulloa & Barnes will be good striking options next season.

Keep Mahrez or find a good replacement for him & we should be optimistic for next season.

I don't know you foxes21 and don't want to appear judgmental, but there's simply no chance of Harvey Barnes being ready for a season in the PL.

Remember, he didn't even make the England U20 squad, but was selected for their 'B' squad.

Big Steve Earle, Shakes fancies Harvey massively wanted to play him the last three games of the season, I wouldn't rule it out.

The Toulon tournament is Under 21s.

But we took the U18's with a couple older players

the U20's went to Korea, the U19's are currently in a tournament and the u21's just played a tournement.

He has basically come from nowhere. Some players come through the England ranks U16,U17 etc and some like Barnes bloom a little later.

Leicester City

What has happened so far?

Riyad Mahrez announced he wants to leave, Harry Maguire has joined for £17m from Hull City, a £10m bid for Jonny Evans was turned down by West Brom and Leicester paid considerably less for another centre-back – 20-year-old Sam Hughes, who has arrived from Chester for £130,000. Agreement has also been reached to sign the Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra for £12m.

What business do they want to do?

They are still in the market for another centre-half – Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson remains a target, albeit overpriced at £25m – and a striker, with Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho on Leicester’s radar. They would also like an attacking midfielder/No10 in the Gylfi Sigurdsson mould.

Is anyone significant likely to leave?

Mahrez has nailed his colours to the mast. Islam Slimani, Ahmed Musa and Nampalys Mendy – signed for the best part of £60 last summer – could also move on. Stuart James

In the mould of Sigurdsson it says!..

ie.. We'll end up with a cheaper imitation of him.

NOT the real thing!

If he doesn't want to come here there's not much alternative.
