I hope Everton ****ing struggle tbh next season. I doubt they will and it's pretty unfounded but **** it, I hope they struggle.

They're clearly trying to get some strength in depth so they don't fall apart with Europa League to play.

**** them.

I just miss Steve Walsh tbh.

Any scout worth his salt can see the players they are signing are quality. Walsh is more a moneyball scout I think.

We should have had him DOF in the first place

He obviously didn't want to come to Leicester then.

We don't need any more players that don't want to play for us.

Making a shit ton of signings at once and trying to integrate them together in a short space of time generally doesn't work out. We'll see..

massively offset by Lukaku sale

They also had 100 million to spend from a new investor this transfer window, IIRC.

Splashing out large amounts of money on players whom everyone is aware of is not moneyball.

We can't win them all. I'm not surprised he's not coming to us, we've still got some way to go to prove we are a top level club despite our recent league win. Tbf I'm also not sure Everton's 'buy all' policy and particularly the signing of Rooney is that great from their or Sigurdsson's perspective.

We still need a creative midfielder

Kinda but the signings we've made look a lot like we're retaining our system. In which case, a lot of our creativity comes from wider channels and someone like Cafu or Boudebouz is much better equipped to provide it than Gylfi.

Ihenacho actively wants to play at ten. We'd struggle to fit both him and Sigurdsson there meaning Sigurdsson would be competing with DD and Ndidi for a spot and we've just signed Iborra for that.

If we sign Boudabouz who is a playmaker then I am confident that Sigurdsson wouldn't be a major loss for us.

We still need a playmaker irrespective of signing Iborra, I think Harvey Barnes will be a playmaker in time but he will be mainly used next season as a backup to Albrighton.

Everton look to be doing great business and your post smacks of envy.

I don't think I'd disagree with any of their buys so far this summer. Even old Rooney will give them a different option.

Its an exciting time to be an Everton fan.

They have a new Sponsorship Deal with a Chinese Bank worth UKP100M, so they can flash the cash.

Move on and lock this thread it weren't to be.

If Barkley is available we definitely need to be in for him.

Screams of a player that needs a fresh start, I think he needs to get away from Liverpool and crack on with his career. Anything around the 25m mark would be one hell of a signing.

Most overrated, underwhelming player in the Premier league imo. Has about 4 great games a season and then does nothing for the rest

He might be overrated, but that doesn't mean he's not still an excellent player for his age with scope for improvement.

You don't play 150 PL games before you turn 24 without being a bit good at what you do.
