Point being that Deeney isn't worth the wage he is on. Gylfi is.

mullet Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 SIGURDSSON BID? Swansea City are expecting a £32million bid from Everton for star man Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to The Daily Mail. Sigurdsson was a stand-out performer for Swansea last season and managed to score nine times in the Premier League despite his side's struggles on the pitch.
les-tah Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 why dont we just bid 40 million.. unlikely that he will come but least we can make sure everton spend over the nose.

I keep saying this, let's blow Everton out the water, he might not come, he might not want to come but let's give it a go, if it messes Everton up along the way making them pay more money - bonus.

Wymsey Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Can't see this one happening. It seems we've nearly signed a new striker now, a decent defensive midfielder and reports suggesting we're looking for an experienced CB - so improvements all over the block. So, now, it's about time we probably release or loan our those unlikely to be much involved in the team.

If we do this after we sign Iheanacho and another young CB like Gibson, we at least give Gylfi something to think about. After all, a 4-4-2 with a MF of Gylfi, Ndidi, DD, and Gray, with Iheanacho and Vardy/Slim fwd... or a 3-4-1-2 with Gylfi as AM and Iheanacho and Vardy/Slim as fwds... I mean, that is a team with the talent to reserve a place in Europe. It would be flexible, dynamic, talented and YOUNG. Why wouldn't he give that a serious think?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 This would be so much easier if Swansea had the decency to get themselves relegated.

Milo Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 WTF, are Everton allowed to field 20 players each game next season?? I assume they are finished hoovering up the 'not quite good enough for the top teams' players now, so we can continue with our pursuits...
EastAnglianFox Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 Ah well. We'll just have to take Barkley off them then.
dayday Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 I had a peep earlier on a Everton forum , and it said 32million had been agreed. To be honest was we really in for him,and if we signed Iheanacho exactly we're are we going to play him?
