Everton told they will have to pay £40million for Gylfi Sigurdsson. Doesn't sound too bad in this market!

just pay swansea £45m for him and be done with it ffs.

offload mahrez and get him in so we've got a playmaker in the middle of the pitch for once.

I can't stand the thought of another season of aimless hoofing.

If he doesn't want to come here there's not much alternative.

Why would he want to come to come to Leicester?

We blew all our capital last season with the disastrous summer (and 3/4qtrs of a season away from the CL), we're now just another West Brom, Stoke, Swansea who would class 14th to 8th as a good season, while being privately happy with 17th+

IMO he should be target No1, he's proven in the Prem & Mahrez's likely departure makes his signing a MUST

Personally I'd prefer to Mahrez to the middle AND sign Cigarson, but there we go

whilst I agree that we blew last summer's transfer window harder than dodgy back-alley blowjob from a hooker with crooked teeth; I still think we're a more attractive proposition than the likes of west-brom, swansea, stoke, etc.

maybe only JUST, but we are.

I think we probably show more ambition than those clubs, have better facilities and better owners.

Agree with you daz on the 'maybe only just' bit, but we're no Everton.  I still think if he doesn't go to Everton, he'll sit tight until the next window opens.  Just my thoughts though.

Let me guess; Plan C is Charlie Austin

and Plan D is Ricky Lambert

Plan E is Farmer Giles's Cart horse.

Plan Z :    Stanley Matthews ...    probably get him much cheaper than the cart horse but have the devils own job getting him to sign the contract.

This thread has become a stream of irrelevance, about a player we've not been seriously linked with. Except it's stopped being about him now...

Well said Peaky ! ...   and glad to see that you're back to being grammatically perfect again after that minor hiccup !

I particularly like the  "This thread has become a stream of irrelevance"  bit and will no doubt use it myself in the future, when applicable ...   unless you have it copyrighted of course !    :)

@weller54

I read that Guardian article and instantly thought "there's a reporter that uses Foxestalk as a reference for their Leicester related articles".

(and quite right too, because usual muppets aside, this is a quality forum)

Now we've signed Maguire and Iborra, this guy should be our number one priority.  Get rid of Mahrez and bring in Gylfi and just win free kicks and stick it in the mixer from dead balls.  With those two plus Huth/Morgan, and Ndidi, we'll be back to the MON days, and all part-time commentators can finally be right when they say "and Leicester, always dangerous from set pieces"

Sounds like you're speaking from experience, daz..

Was this her?

If that's the style of football we aspire to, we should have signed Tony Pulis.

I, for one, wouldn't be paying to watch it.

As I've said in this market for £40m I'd consider 'cheap' or a 'bargain'.

Slap the frickin money down now!!

He might not sign, he might not want to come here but let's atleast have a ****ing go!!

Have you been out in the sun too long today?! That aimless hoofing you refer to won us the Premier League.

Sigurdsson would be a great signing for us but some people really need to think before they type

In a few years time you'll have no doubts about it. Have some faith. We've moved mountains these last few years and anyone would have taken even the indifference of last season as being "marvellous" compared with the days in Division One. Championship champions by a distance, Premiership champions in similar style and the best performing Champions League team in England ... there's fans at West Brom, Stoke  and Swansea who'd metaphorically die for that.

Hallelujah to that! The title winning season was anything but aimless hoofing.

Last season was.
