Because it's his first season in the premier league and he's still young, playing week in week out. Also, I reckon Swansea will be reluctant to sell.

RumbleFox Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 I like him a lot, would be very happy with this. If we get this right he could be our CB for the next ten years. Everything I have seen of him looks great. What is it they say? Get him in? x
dayday Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 As good as he has been this season, I think we can do a lot better, I'm hoping we sign a centre half with a bit of pace, something that McGuire lacks.
breadandcheese Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Hope we can get this signing done as there's interest from other clubs. Think he'd be a solid player for us.
Monsell1976 Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 I hope Rudkin doesn't **** about this window, offer market value, and get the deals done, instead of like previous windows, low ball, then end up offering over the odds in desperation at the end of the window, and miss out anyway.
Ashley Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Linked with him before good player.. I would be happy in signing him.
Guest Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Personally hoping we break the bank to get Maguire AND Gibson in

FoxinNotts Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 I'd be happy with Maguire, but only if Benny AND Wasliewski are to leave. I think we shoot ourselves in the foot by having more than 4 good quality centre backs. So assuming Morgan and Huth stay, we could have Morgan, Huth, Maguire and another new one (must be high quality). That would be great.
Koke Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 He looked very impressive against Chelsea and Arsenal. Rather pay £8-10m for Maguire than £30m for Gibson.
st albans fox Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Why does this story appear? Assuming we are interested, no way would we have leaked it and same with Spurs. no reason for hull to reveal it unless they feel the deal we have offered (which maguire is happy with) isn't enough dosh for them so they are at doing it to drive publicity and get some other clubs interested in the hope that someone else will offer him the same financial package and them a larger fee. if the player really wants to come here then it's doubtful anyone else being interested will make a difference. However, the clubs may not be far apart on valuation so this story may encourage us to up our offer to get it done before others might get involved. Alternatively, the whole thing may exist only in the imagination of the journo!
hamptonfox Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Agree with GIBSON & MAGUIRE purchases. Time we got real about the narrow CB options we have carried for at least 2 years.

Babylon Posted 17 May 2017 Posted 17 May 2017 Sod pace, rather have someone who can defend and has good positioning. Pace is an added bonus.
Ric Flair Posted 17 May 2017 Posted 17 May 2017 It's a definite yes from me. He's also another very good attacking threat at set pieces which is important to a team like us. I think he'd represent vey good business as he'd cost less than £20 million.
