Ive been saying this for a while. Gibson and Maguire would be 2 solid signings. Young, English and prem experience. I got shot down for saying this by people saying we should sign Acerbi. Yeh lets sign an ageing centre back whos never played in the prem over 2 prem experienced young lads. But what do i know?

There's something about Gibson that doesn't appeal to me & to be honest I'm not sure what it is.

Idrissa gueye was from a relegated side and he's quality

Imagine if we had signed him and then picked up Ndidi in January...

There's no way we'd have gone after Ndidi in Jan if we had bought Gueye.

Still undecided whether Ndidi or Gueye is better... Ndidi has a higher peak potential maybe?

I'd say gueye is better but Ndidi have a greater potential. Also, Ndidis passing & heading attributes are far superior. I'd say gueye is a better tackler.

Personally think Gueye probably just edges it, but Ndidi has played in a much worse team and think next year he could be elevated to another level

Him and Michael Keane are both players that are similar to both Huth and Morgan - strong, resilient, captain-material and non-nonsense (but times his tackles well, unlike Benalouane at times).

So either of these would be good signings to replace the current ageing CB duo.

Though cannot see Sean Dyche, with his negative attitude towards us in general, be willing to listen to us regarding any interest that we have in Keane.

Keane has 1 year left on his deal (?) & I'd say they are both better than Huth and Morgan on the ball. Maguire regularly dribbles it into midfield.

The one previously relegated with Hull, yes.

Thanks Babylon.

It goes to show though that doesn't matter how good or bad your team are - if your a good fit in a system that works you can achieve anything - we know all to well about that.

Yanited no longer after Keane re Swedish defender ex benfica

He will go Everton.... for the amount Burnley are expecting for him, we could get both Hoedt & Maguire for the same price.

I feel the same. I think he might be one of those that couldn't do it at a different club
