Possible "feeder club", we've already got enough dud players!! This is exactly why the current board must go. We are a top 10 city in the country (granted, this doesn't mean as much in Belgium as it means in other countries but in relation to our league, there is plenty of potential there) with a large youth department. Our board has been clinging to power while failing to see the writing on the wall. They are amateurs in a pro circuit. Their main strengths are deceiving fans and covering up shady deals, not running a football club. We were on our way to settle as a mid-table club in the first division, but they fell into a slumber during our (according to them) best year, again not noticing what was going wrong, and the next year we relegated. We then went up immeditaly after, and again relegated right after that, and nearly again the past year. Our board has no long term vision, only short term, as they are too busy cleaning up their own shit all the time.

Foxxed Posted 1 June 2017 Posted 1 June 2017 When we sell Mahrez to Chelsea they'll be a fantastic footballing ladder for disadvantages Belgium youth.
leuven Posted 5 June 2017 Posted 5 June 2017 done deal: contract signed by all parties http://www.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20170605_02912379
davieG Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 The acquisition only concerns the professional squad. The youth, social activities and operation of the stadium remain in Leuven hands.
sylofox Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 The sad scary thing is we have just bought a whole club quicker than Rudkin buys one fvcking player.

I would guess that they won't be content, long term, having control of the professional squad, but nothing else - particularly the 'feeder' teams. If I were the owners, I'd 'suck it and see' - if the money that goes into the professional squad appears to be well placed, they could well 'diversify' into the remainder of the OHL set up.
StanSP Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 This is now confirmed. Rob Tanner saying Susan Whelan and Jon Rudkin will serve on executive board at the club. Not sure what that means for their presence here?

AjcW Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 1 meeting a month, probably on Skype... So yep sadly we haven't shifted him!
jammie82uk Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 So it seems that Rudkin is going to be Director of Football and Academy Director here plus be on the board for the new club as well regardless of what we think of his "skills" currently how can anybody be expected to do 3 different job roles at the same time efficiently
mozartfox Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 TBF. Rudders would have a problem doing nothing efficiently.. He will cope.

Do these Boardroom appointments mean that KP have acquired control of the WHOLE OHL operation - including Stadium, Commercial set up and Youth teams?
chapero82 Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 Surely this is a big distraction to sign players for us ... oh wait that would help if he was trying sign any
dannythefox Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 How the hell can Rudkin get involved in another club when he can't even sort this one out?
