Ross Barkley £50m

So sky is reporting that Everton will hold out for £50m for Ross Barkley if he decides not to sign a new contract.

I personally think Riyhad is just as good if not better then Barkley. So even though he's had an "on off" season It would think the club will want a similar amount if he goes.

He won't sign a new contract at Everton but he'll sign for us? Okay...

He's doggo anyway tbh.

Don't think he was suggesting that we sign him, but that if Barkley is worth 50 then Riyad is also.

Its true though.

Ross Barkley = 50 Million Pounds. Riyad Mahrez = I've seen some on here mention as little as 25 Million.

Can anybody explain to me the UK Passport Tax on Footballers?

It was originally in the LCFC transfer forum.

Everton are out of their minds if they think he's worth that. 25 million at most and he's on the last year of his contract.

If he won't sign they have an unhappy player who will leave on a free in a years time.

It still says nothing about buying him though and everything about us asking for us to get a similar amount.

Mahrez is a better than Barkley

Mahrez - 10 goals, 6 assists

Barkley - 6 goals, 7 assists

Mahrez has had a poor season and Barkley has had a decent season. Plus Barkley has played in a side that's has a good season. Mahrez the opposite.

Glad I'm not the only one that just doesn't see the Barkley hype. 3 or 4 amazing games a season and then nothing. £50m is a joke and I'd be astounded if anyone pays it

If  Barkley goes it will be for less than £50m, it's just Everton putting his name in the papers and pumping his price up. They start throwing around a £50m valuation then anyone getting him for £35m (a more likely figure) will think they got a bargain.

Barkley is the most overrated player in the league. Infuriates me watching him slow down every attack by taking too many touches.

My uncle is a Toffee and he can't stand him. Makes it all about himself and is a red card waiting to happen.

In June 2018 we know he'll be worth £0 if he sees his last year out at Everton without signing a contract.

So Everton will sell for a lot less than £50m if he refuses to sign. They'd probably sell for £15m if he steadfastly refuses to sign or demands astronomical wages like £150k a week.

I never understand why players seem to retain a lot of their market value going into their last year, players like Michael Keane are going for £25m when he can see his last year out and move on a free.

Absolutely agree with you.

Here's my most overrated team:

Hart

Clyne

Stones

Jones

Shaw

Sterling

Pogba

Barkley

Walcott

Carroll

Rodriguez (James)

The total value of this bunch, could exceed £300m! What a joke!

Same feeling as Stones last season - two very average players, who are found out at the mid to top level
