Played cricket in the heat at The Langtons yesterday, managed 8 overs. So so hot, one of the umpires was ill and went off for 3 hours to recover. At least l didn’t have to work in it.

Prime day to field under the trees on the village side of the ground there. Didn't realise there was still any Thursday cricket going on, good to see though. Used to play for the Hamtune side in Harborough about 10 years ago.

Had a game for the county over 50’s side. Beat Shropshire. It’s a great set up, well ran too.

I don't know about wherever you are, Matt, but my garden thermometer is saying 28C.

Not my idea of cold.

I've got similar but it feels more 21/22 to me. Certainly not as nice as yesterday.

I take it back, think it was that mild cloud cover - it's warmth again now.

looks like it's gonna absolutely chuck it down here in Bedford but reckon it'll just make it even more muggier.

Apparently gonna hit 35/36 degrees middle of next week.

It just rained for a whole minute or two in Wigston. Now it's like it never happened. I'm just praying for a breeze tonight, last night was rubbish for trying to sleep
