Wolves to splash 18 million on centre midfielder rafa silva.

That will be more than our entire championship winning squad from 13/14 season.

Fairly certain Rafa Silva plays as an Inside Forward or through the middle, but all the same, they'll have a cracking side for next year.

Not seen any fees over €15m being bandied about so not sure where that's been plucked from. We already have fees agreed for Boly, Jota and Bonatini to make them permanent so that will be getting on near £30m just for those three. And we still need cover for striker and RWB on top of that.

If we go up then the spending doesn't matter, but we still need to be careful nonetheless.

Well spending matters, no matter what the level you are at or what money you have in the bank. Spending big money on players automatically makes fans expect a lot from a player (see Musa / Silimani for us) its a massive step up in leagues, teams and players soon get worked out, look at the 3 that came up this season, fast starts but slowly sinking down the league.

If you think throwing cash at a league will keep you up you're very naive, squad unity and not upsetting the apple cart is by far the most important thing you can do. Burnley and our selves are primae examples of that.

Plus keeping hold of your manager and not given him the bullet if you are sitting in the bottom 5 after 2 months.

Carlos Carvahal is already bigging us up as the best team he's seen at this level before we even play them on Sky tomorrow night.

He knows if they lose he almost certainly loses his job.

We won the Premier League with pretty much the same squad we won the Championship with... with a little help from N’Golo.

Sheff Wednesday spent a fortune on some bang average players,, jordon rhodes 10m, gary hooper 5m, steven fletcher 5m, even got on the end of the wrong side of our player loan swap (winnall for butterfield), anyone who has seen butterfield play will know hes a bloody nightmare, sideways or backward passes, and we got shafted spending 5m for him :(

Wolves in 2nd gear again tonight, 51 points in 22 games is good going, on for a 108 if they match the first half of the season after xmas.

Yes he was sorry, i got it mixed up with the fee that Wolves paid for him. Hooper was 3m not 5m aswell, and tbf hes a good champ forward. Some of the signings are very poor still, reach and butterfield are very poor players even at this level. 10m for Rhodes is steep, hes always been a lazy type imo, watched him a few times at pride park and i never understood the fixation with him, we kept him quiet relatively easy.

Glass houses, stones, etc.

I'd be careful commenting on the financial irregularities of other clubs until you've had your owners for a good few years and they've shown no signs of dropping you in it.

Touch wood, everything will be fine.
