No ones getting anything in a twist. Wes is better. You're suggesting that a perennial reserve is better than a Premier League winning captain just because you're winning footy games for the first time in a decade.

Not sure why people are having a go at The Bear? Most on here slagged Morgan off last season and he was shite. Huth's made him look a better player and helped his game.

 

As for winning the prem he was an average cog in a very efficient engine. If the prem win was all about wes then our piss poor league form last season was all wes to.

 

Wes has been good for us but he's far from the great player some are making him out to be. While claiming he's great now remember what people were saying last January and February.

Wolves will win the league unless they totally self destruct (which has happened in the past) 

 

Sheffield United were well on top till the sending off which was fully justified although Chris Wilder seemed to think it was a perfectly fine tackle!

 

Warnock or Steve Bruce getting promoted will be one for those in the press who love the old fashioned British managers..

Absolutely! It’s been our downfall a lot this season too. You can have all the fancy tactics you like but if you hit the bar twice there’s every chance the other team will go down the other end and score lol

Like I pointed out before, David May and Ian Pearce both won titles. Both shite.

And captaincy is an irrelevance in modern football. It's not like they do anything special or play any differently because of it. They're just given to the more vocal players not necessarily the best. Coady is our captain as he's very loud, but he's not our best player.

Just got back from the game. Boly was imperious again. Not that Sunderland bothered actually attacking today with two defensive banks of 5 and 4. Coleman came for a 0-0 and got it. We were too wasteful in the final third and couldn't get the goal. 72% possession and 23 shots to their 1.

 

Just one of those days unfortunately. You can't win them all.

Upto 4th but some right tough games coming up for us over the xmas period. Be happy to stay top 6 over this stretch of games. Our style does help us in those tough games though, under mcclaren we lost games like today, but under Rowett we won 0-3 ?. Wolves were bound to slip up soon, but its a bit of a ar se failing to break down a 10 man team at home,, we had to deal with two banks of 4 under mcclaren and its a ball ache.

Looks like the Wolves bubble has burst. When you can't beat a ten man Sunderland at home, you know it's poor. 

9/10 times we'd have won that game. We just had an off day in front of goal.

David bloody May and Ian Pearce didn't play every game for United / Blackburn in title winning seasons though did they? So that's an irrelevant point.

Everybody gets slagged off on here, that means very little. And the whole side were pretty shit last season.

 

Suggesting Morgan was average for us in our title winning side is harsh. Yes, both him and Huth were covered by a World Class player in Kante but the whole defence was solid that season. In fact, the whole team.

 

I don't think anybody here has suggested winning the league was solely down to Morgan but for someone to suggest a Championship centre back is better than a title winning centre half is just wrong. Yes I take the point about average players winning the league (such as May) but when this Boly kid has had a season in the Premier League and looked decent then we'll talk about comparisons.
