Permafrost Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 (edited) Well done OHL! I'm over the Beerschot game next Friday. Looking forward to joining in the celebrations. Edited 9 November 2019 by Permafrost 2

How are you traveling? I want to come over to watch a leicester match and I'm looking at the best/fastest options to travel from Belgium to Leicester. Birmingham is the closest airport?

EMA is closest airport, I would just drive though if I was going to Belgium, but to be fair I drive everywhere, including to Croatia. Having been driven through Belgium several times, in not sure how you would find the English roads, loads of delays and traffic. Think of Brussels traffic, for no reason in the middle of no where, all the time! But after all that EMA, is closest, BHX is fine there is a train from there to New Street, then from New Street direct to Leicester, I'm not sure of the train situation from East mids, but I can't imagine it's any more difficult

Tbh the Eurostar isn't a bad option if you book far enough in advance to get the good prices: Gets you into St Pancras where you can get a train direct to Leicester. If you're going to be driving the first leg (ie. to the airport/train station) then I'd stick with the plane though because traffic around Gare du Midi is always a nightmare and really not worth the hassle when it takes you about 20 minutes to get to Zaventem from Leuven. 1

We were at the Chelsea match earlier this season. We came by car using the eurotunnel but it took us 5-6 hours to get there. To get to leicester from London is about 2hr drive right? Might go for another away game in London (West Ham) but unfortunately that's one of the worst stadiums around (too far from the pitch). How long is the train transfer from London to Leicester?
Permafrost Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 Just over an hour - London to Leicester. I actually go Rugby to Euston... so much cheaper, but that may not be an option for you tbh. I always use the Eurostar. Dead simple, and if planned well in advance the prices are great. I'm paying £68 return. 1

Get in touch with Leuven lads they've been over 3 possibly 4 times now. Around 30 of them came West Ham back in April. I'm looking to come over again next year, I've potentially marked the game of the weekend we play Burnley away Eurostar return is around £88.00 1

Easiest is probably just getting on the skylink bus from the airport to the city. Bit more expensive, mind...
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 If any body interested there is a stream for tonights match against Beerschot. HT 0-0.
ealingfox Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Is this game the last one of the first half of the season or the first game of the second half?
elvisfmcfly Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 (edited) 3 0 down looks like it’s Leuven who’ve been in the Beerschots Leagues not won yet lads! What happened to that abandoned game? Edited 15 November 2019 by elvisfmcfly

That would mean this match doesn't matter if it's from the last half of the season. Edit: nevermind then. Three goals in 12 minutes. Impressive! Only 15 more minutes for Sowah to casually score a hattrick. That's that then. On the brighter side, I've been on uncertain emotional territory with our recent success. OHL getting battered in the second division reminds me of the good old days. What happened in those 12 minutes then lads? Edited 15 November 2019 by Foxxed yeah theyre ****ed
Foxxed Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Sowah playing up front for you? Thought he was a winger.
Bonanza Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 It looked like our guys were still in partymode from last week. This game was an absolute disaster. Let's hope this was just a slip up and we get back to our normal level next game.
