Hamer should be no where near the first team and we need to get rid of Ulloa before the window shuts. Slim took his goals well too oh and chilwell looked good. People are really after Hamer for that one fluky goal. He looked really solid otherwise, dealt well with everything else.
hejammy Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Ulloa needs to go, looked disinterested a lot of the game and is it just me or when he runs it's almost as he's running in slow motion, Gray had a decent game, needs to work on his decision making. Slim was actually man of the match for me, Chilly was good going forward but let their players go past him a bit too easy at times at the back. Musa... Well what can I say, you can't help but love the old pretender.

Farrington fox Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 1st 45, was tight. 2nd half showed some quality. Impressed with Slim, Musa grafted and got his reward. But ulloa and Hammer, dear me. Embarrassing goal to concede. Overall though a very pleasing result.
MC Prussian Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Sluggish start with a makeshift starting XI. Frustrating first half, it just wouldn't click properly. Slimani on the verge of a sending-off. Second half much, much better. There was urgency, there was determination all-around. Ulloa finally started to play a part - two assists in the end? Slimani with great passing skills in an advanced No.10 position, Gray looked sharp and got better and less selfish as the game progressed - MOTM award deserved, but could've gone to Slimani also. Happy for Musa that he managed to bag one, as well. All in all, rocky opening few minutes, pleasing finale. The result and the win will do everyone the world of good. Lots of fringe players had the opportunity to prove themselves and they took the chance. And Fuchs and Amartey played very well in defense, almost all Blades attacks went through our left (Chilwell & Gray). Brooks quite the handful, we should keep tabs on him. Congrats to Knight on his first outing with the first team. Hamer the only one who came across as a bit of a weak spot. But with that lack of first-team action, I'm not going to judge him any further. That goal he conceded was a bit of a freak, although he could've potentially be a bit more aware of the ball.

My boss was a Liverpool fan and when they lost OMG all hell brokes at work probably didnt help when we put the paper of them losing he'll give us all extra hours at last min and even if u asked him about other game he would crying and make everyone pay for it haha but was worth it
The Floyd Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Absolutely delighted for Musa, his attitude was superb and he thoroughly deserved a goal in the end. Also, I must hold my hands up and admit that was not nearly as unpleasant as I was expecting. Ulloa still makes me feel ill but some really encouraging individual performances otherwise.

Apart from when he nearly let a ball slide under him and trickle over the line? His distribution was at times awful

He looked like a lost child in the first half, he's a decent championship player nothing more at the moment. How long do we give him? His movement and energy were fantastic first half, someone needs to get in his head and try and make him keep it simple sometimes. His brain can't keep up with his feet. He makes stuff happen good or bad he's a threat. There is something there, it's like trying to tame a bloody wild horse though.
Scotch Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Decent result and played some nice stuff at points. Thought Slim and Maguire were excellent. Gray and Chillwell were really good and Knight and Mendy looked decent when they came on but a shout out to Big Dan at RB. Never looked in trouble, passing was good, alays available in attack and went about his business well. May not have been the greatest opposition but some players done themselves proud tonight.
FoxinNotts Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Slimani, Gray, Ndidi, Maguire, Fuchs and Chillwell 8/10 King & Hamer, 7/10 Ulloa 6/10 Dont know what to make of either Musa or Amartey tonight! ?
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Ulloa, did he really get a new contract ?? 5 yards to slow physically and 10 yards to slow reading the game...............let him go back to Brighton and KEEP Slim and Musa.
justfoxes Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Great second half by the lads some great individual performances, pity Slim was robbed of a Hatrick by a dodgy decision but this really gives Shaky something to think about for the Manure trip !!

Other than that not really anything worth saying. He was immense in the second half, stop being so negative. Lacks confidence from time to time but he can be a class player
The Doctor Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Slims all-round game was class - brilliant performance. On the fence over Musa, his first couple of touches were shit, looked like he was trying too hard to make amends but some very clever runs.

What did Amartey do wrong? Looked comfortable all night and linked up well. He was far more solid than Chilwell who make some poor decisions. He looks great on the attack but nearly cost us a few times.
Gazza M Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Great result, could have been a banana skin for us. Nice to see some of last seasons flop signings putting in a performance tonight and getting confidence.
cityfanlee23 Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Started to really motor when we allowed slimani and ulloa to sit further up the pitch and allow gray/musa to stretch the fullbacks. Need to play like that more instead of telling a striker to keep dropping back to midfield. Crap start but turned on the style 10 mins in to 2nd half. Fully deserved.
Ansteyblue Posted 22 August 2017 Posted 22 August 2017 Thought slim played well most the game some good link up play maybe he'll get a run out against man u,his confidence must have improved after tonight. Think it's time for ulloa to go now. Not to sure about mussa still. Good win though
